Apparently so will the Sony Xperia 1 V be revealed 2/28/2023 and be released some time in mid March 2023 in Japan and I guess 1-3 months later in the other places that usually gets it.

Still got my Sony Xperia 1 III as well... I think my next Sony smartphone will be either the Sony Xperia 1 VI or Sony Xperia 1 VII as my current smartphone will get Android updates until Android 14 at least so I am good so far!

But still the Sony Xperia 1 V sounds good so far but I've a feeling that the Sony Xperia 1 VI or Sony Xperia 1 VII will be worth the wait though!

I loved my xperia but theres literally no reason to get this if it doesnt have a controller attachment

my ex threw mine like 10 feet in the air right after I had bought it and f***ed up the corners so it has a unique rounded look too lmao

I cut myself on it and I can't use the jack or fingerprint sensor but I still use it years later. that's how good these phones are.

only negative thing is the brightness. even the lowest setting + dark mode is way too bright and wakes people up

Yeah that's one thing that I love about Sony smartphones as they're usually built well which is necessary and a plus of course!

Oh yeah? People usually say the Sony smartphones are usually not bright enough... But I don't use the dark mode so I am not familiar with how it is but I think this is something they should fix and so will this be another good thing.

I hope the other things they're also working on is the camera stuff and some other features that makes the Sony Xperia smartphones unique and a must own smartphone as the Sony Xperia smartphones are very underrated tbh and they need more attention and promotion which I hope is been worked on too

idk maybe people in my household are exaggerating it but they have Xiaomi phones that can go really dark

too bad the phones are so expensive, I'd really like to try an old I or a newer V they're really great

Yeah I guess Sony isn't focusing enough on that... But I think if enough people do request it so should it be possible and OLED smartphones are more than capable of achieving that so it's only a matter of time before they do make it possible on either their upcoming smartphone or simply via a software update to at least last year's model aka Sony Xperia 1 IV... Or even the one I've should be able to do that via a software update. But personally so am I fine with how it is right now though

I know what you mean... I hope Sony won't keep making their smartphones cost more and more every year but keep the current price or make it cost less without removing anything or not adding good stuff. But we'll see how their upcoming smartphone will be in 3 weeks hopefully

xperia 1 v needs to be cut an inch or two shorter and it would be perfect

Considering switching from my 10 plus to an iPhone SE for airpods 3D audio compatibility, thoughts? The new xperia are way too pricey I'm not confortable spending that much on an item as fragile
