yeah they did it here because flavoured tobacco products encourages kids to smoke. I remember cigarillos were so f***ing good..

same with juicy blunt wraps, chocolate phillies, etc..

I know a lot of people who started smoking because of flavoured products.

they still sell all this type of s*** on the reserves, i bought like 50 flavoured cigarillos this past summer for $10

that's funny cause data shows decriminalizing d*** use and actually treating addicts like human beings work a whole lot better.

USA just gonna keep living in the 80s cause the war on d**** was such a success.

We can do that for now but we shouldn’t lose sight of the ultimate goal which is a predominantly straight edge society

    nah lol.

i'm "straight edge" and even I don't think that's possible nor something that'll be beneficial towards society.

On one hand it’s good because f*** cigarettes, but it’s just gonna lead to a black market. And you know what that means. F*** big tobacco all I gotta say, and glad I got off cigs a couple years ago.

I gotta say I can’t really imagine a black market for flavored ciggys. I smoke menthols rn but I don’t think I would even wanna try somebody’s homemade menthols lmao. A lot more likely to just switch to regular or stop in general (hopefully the latter)

Not giving an opinion on this, but it’s not even in the same vein as the war on d****. It’s strictly going after tobacco companies and not the consumer

Very racist and also not very shocking they want to push gun control after black people bought guns in record numbers.

  • May 3, 2021

The EU banned menthols like a year ago.

  • This will surely work just as well as the War on D****, gun control, and prohibition

Well, it'll 'work' in the sense that more black men will be fed to the prison system to justify the salaries of the organizations that administrate it when the underground menthol market opens to meet the demand.

I’m not even a smoker but the government can f*** right off with any kind of tobacco ban. If I choose to kill myself with tobacco that’s my choice dammit.

Smoking-related illness in the United States costs more than $300 billion each year, including: Nearly $170 billion for direct medical care for adults. More than $156 billion in lost productivity, including $5.6 billion in lost productivity due to secondhand smoke exposure

The minute it starts costing more than what it brings in in taxes they’ll ban tobacco for good

Personally I think leaving menthol off of the original ban is more racist. Like f*** it, let the tobacco companies keep making money off black people, let black people's health keep deteriorating

    Can't be mad at this

Tobacco industry the number 1 reason I'm unsure of the whole move to decriminalise s*** and what it could lead to

There's still countries in the world they're marketing heavily to kids and getting them addicted to their cancer sticks. Truly scummy companies and industry

yeah education is the important part, but I think the main solution is banning majority of this s*** in public spaces, and only allow in private areas. Which is already the thing with cigs, but a bit more strict

If the government isn't going to pay for people's healthcare they really shouldn't have a say in whether people partake in unhealthy activities like smoking cigs.

And besides, banning menthols but not touching disposable vapes shows they really aren't serious about preventing people from developing nicotine addictions. The amount of menthol smokers pales in comparison to the number of people addicted to disposable vapes
