I’m not a huge Fearless fan but I’m curious in general how similar or different the new versions will sound to the original

Love Story sounds pretty similar to the original, her vocals are much more mature and powerful
Love Story and You Belong With Me better be the exact same as the original..
We got the old versions lol it’ll be fine
No one but diehard stans are gonna go to these lmao.
People will always want the originals.

We’ll see. If it sounds good then I could see them taking a substantial chunk of future streams

People, I'm talking casuals, just won't be interested. It's not the same.
There's memories attached to music, I'm seeing it the same way people wouldn't watch a re-shot Space Jam made just because Michael Jordan doesn't own the rights to the original.

You haven’t even heard it yet though

Don't need to. The concept is the same.
Unless the originals are wiped from streaming it's just very limited damage control.

I agree with you mostly I mean I’m just glad she doesn’t have to re-record my favorite album of hers (lover) because I do have those feels about it.
And when it comes to certain big songs from 1989 and Red you might be right but I’m willing to give blank space 2.0 a shot (for example), maybe it’ll sound just as good

check this out
i'm hoping that this is what the majority of these tracks will sound like
pretty much the same as the originals but with a much more polished and mature vocal sound
Kinda hopin when she releases Red she alters I know you were trouble's horrid chorus drop. But in tho never peeped Fearless
she is going to make bank from this
can't even hate
Smartest move any artist could make in this situation nobody should be able to hate
F*** this

I have to imagine there’s probably diminishing returns on re-recorded albums. With this one she was YOUNG so I can see how revisiting material like that when you’re older would be interesting for both her and her fans. But red or 1989? They didn’t even come out that long ago. I don’t know how you would re-record that and make it very different.
I guess she’s doing it because she doesn’t own her music anymore but from an artistic standpoint it’s a little questionable.
KTT actually hype about Taylor Swift records but will trash literally any other white artist.
Okay.
I wonder how this affects billboard. Will all her re-recorded songs count as brand new songs?

Nah, they also trash her.

Yeah probably with the whole (Taylor's version) s***
