    is the spotify special?

  • Feb 12, 2021

I know it’s probably part of the legal loophole

But having (Taylor’s version) after every track looks so bad

  • Feb 12, 2021

    whose version is it again

  • Feb 12, 2021

Damn going back to the og version (not Taylor’s version), and it sounds way worse. I like that she beefed up the whole instrumental too

  • Feb 12, 2021

Never really listened to Taylor but legal reasons aside this is a really cool thing that I wouldn’t mind happening more often

Especially for albums with awful covers lol

No one but diehard stans are gonna go to these lmao.

People will always want the originals.

Never have heard any of Taylor album but much more interesting in listening to her versions over the old ones

This is a good way to introduce new fans as well

  • Feb 12, 2021

Good on her for linking back up with the original people who played instruments on the song.

I wouldn’t mind this becoming a thing now. I need Beyoncé to record her old stuff with that deep ass voice.

I don’t particularly don’t unless they got reason to

One off songs would be cool though

Woulda been cool if she recreated the album artwork too

Artwork makes it just seem like it’s a current era album instead of a recreation of her old albums

Still pretty awesome nonetheless. Artists should try this. New takes on their old classics

Agreed. Live performances put a new spin on songs anyway

I have to imagine there’s probably diminishing returns on re-recorded albums. With this one she was YOUNG so I can see how revisiting material like that when you’re older would be interesting for both her and her fans. But red or 1989? They didn’t even come out that long ago. I don’t know how you would re-record that and make it very different.

I guess she’s doing it because she doesn’t own her music anymore but from an artistic standpoint it’s a little questionable.

Red's mastering was very tinny so there's definitely room to improve on that. Also she sounded like a teenage girl until the 1989 album, so her more mature voice will change Red and 1989 quite a lot.

  • Feb 12, 2021

her voice seems pretty similar for being 10 years apart but the mix definitely sounds alot better
