F*** up OP, you giving Taylor way too much credit and being too down on hip hop. It hasn’t been the best year but even Drake has stepped out of his comfort zone in the past few years if Folklore is your bar. The only other people in hip hop comparable to Taylor would be Kanye, Jay, Kendrick, Cole, and Travis (anyone else?) and I’d say 3 of those 5 step out of their comfort zone enough

How slow are you lmao? I’m simply listing the top tier of hip hop in the way that she’s the top tier of pop. Cole is very popular if you haven’t noticed and unquestionably in the top tier of hip hop. If you hate him that much that you wanna take him out then fine, 3 out of 4. But he is in that category objectively

Instead of copying the pop trends she copied another genre. This isn’t really all that different musically, it’s just different for her. Not really something I’d praise.

But the album is good though.

Left her comfort zone huh? Of making the same surface level trite indie pop sound instead this time using The National members to give it some sort of facade of a new sound or style. Literally the exact same s*** lol
