I couldn't name a lotta lines from a lotta Kendrick drake and Lupe songs
They act like they wanted him to say (in 2013) "yes, kendrick is murdering me in every measurable metric. Kendrick is better than me, but go buy my album nwts"
I don't even think C and D level artists would have said that after Control so yeah idk how they turned it into Drake Started It. He was in the middle of album promo and the early 10's media repeatedly made it a topic
Exactly. Not to mention, I can pull up at least a dozen clips of Drake giving Kendrick props and showing him love PUBLICLY: in interviews, on the OVO Fest stage. Even during the whole Control fiasco, he would always say he knew Kendrick was mad talented and he f***ed with his music and wished him success. All he said was he was never backing down from a beef with him if he wanted to take it there and Drake didn't understand Kendrick having that energy on wax but not following through with it in real life.
Even in his last proper interview in 2019, he gave Kendrick props. Kendrick always been a hater because he's always been jealous of Drake's success and position in the game. The number #1 guy is never envious of anyone ranked lower. It's always niggas who wanna be at the top spot who stay hating.

I mean that's just me though, can't speak for others. Lots of passionate fans on here who can do just that.
Think most was upset with how he went about deleting it.
Bu even then, sza was the one interviewing
You mean the questions the magazine gave SZA to "ask" that PgLang approved?
Patriots bout to play. I ain’t going back and fourth rn
You right. Shoutout the real Drake

Oh this drake I thought it was copyright
I remember that interview that you referring to. I saw another interview with Pusha T, and he mentioned how K dot approached him with that similar energy after Control but it's interesting how they took it differently. It almost seems contradictory but in the sense of:
1. How drake saw Kendricks behavior as contradictory, but also:
2. How Drake said he understood the intent, yet seems to take the diss personally imo from the "keep the same energy" sentiment. Some folks disagree here but it is what it is. Plus I can imagine it was kind of annoying having to address the verse during his album rollout, so some of that spilled into his comments imo
Yeah, I think from Drake's perspective, it was weird because they were pretty cool with one another from like 2011-2013. Remember, Drake was one of the first people to hear Section.80 (Kendrick sent him the album before it officially dropped). Then Drake had him on Take Care and then brought him on tour and then they did the Poetic Justice record and shot a music video and then F***in' Problems happened.
I guess Drake was just more offended that Kendrick took that stance on wax, only to realize he only did it to get fans and the media excited and had no intentions of following through.
This whole time I thought you had a Dennis Schroeder avi
A Dennis schroder avi would be insanity

Some of this is from interviews
The New York niggas took offense to that King of New York line as far as I could tell, but I also remember Lupe fired off on Kendrick for that verse in general.
Even Cole sent shots at Kendrick on the TKO Remix lmao. Kendrick called him after that and clarified that he didn't want smoke and it never went past that but that's why Drake never respected Control — it was Kendrick talking tough s*** but not having the balls to back it up.
Ehhhhhhhhhhh nahh (respeckfully)
I get that KTT Control narrative was just rap but a nigga threatening to end your career, just for years later calling you a pedophile in front of the whole world is super personal
Also, the rappers who didn't respect Control are right to feel so because the reason the verse was such a huge deal was because he named rappers. That's why when Drake asked Elliott Wilson in the CRWN interview how the verse started, he didn't know and couldn't recall. All he knew was that Kendrick named a bunch of rappers lol.
