Nah, Cole literally big upped kendrick on the track
Drake didn't even mention or refer to Kendrick on FPS. He kept it about him and Cole. Cole was the one who mentioned Kendrick and brought up the Big 3 to not make Kendrick feel left out lmao.
Even Cole sent shots at Kendrick on the TKO Remix lmao. Kendrick called him after that and clarified that he didn't want smoke and it never went past that but that's why Drake never respected Control — it was Kendrick talking tough s*** but not having the balls to back it up.

why would kendrick feel left out if they called him to be on the song and he said no
Some of this is from interviews
I know but Kendrick hasn’t said full reasoning we have as always mainly heard drakes side
I get that KTT Control narrative was just rap but a nigga threatening to end your career, just for years later calling you a pedophile in front of the whole world is super personal
Nah
Also, the rappers who didn't respect Control are right to feel so because the reason the verse was such a huge deal was because he named rappers. That's why when Drake asked Elliott Wilson in the CRWN interview how the verse started, he didn't know and couldn't recall. All he knew was that Kendrick named a bunch of rappers lol.
Divine right here
The whole reason Like That had so much impact is BECAUSE no one heard FPS and thought "oh wow, this is a Kendrick diss" or "wow, there are some Kendrick shots in here." Kendrick was JEALOUS. That's all. He was jealous of Cole and Drake linking up, being all buddy buddy and being more active than he was while the narrative starting flipping towards him being lazy and inactive, ESPECIALLY with Mr. Morale not being a successful or impactful album.
I think he just disliked FATD and everything surrounding the roll out since all this happened right after. It doesn’t fit what he thinks a man is and I’m sure Cole agreeing to be a part of it irked him even more. It doesn’t have to be some jealousy s*** lol. He said what it is in the SZA interview
Bro you talking about a decade long escalation of a cold war lmao. Starting point and ending point are prettttty diffren my fren
As much as I hear y'all, Kendrick's discontent has carried throughout that entire time

lol if you begging to be number 1 in a big 3 formed by media it is part ego

Kendrick did a Big Boy interview in 2014 and mentioned that he spoke with Cole and he cleared it up and they ended up laughing about it.
Go Eagles
So many in my fam are diehard eagles fans
They gotta secure these fumbles man

DECLINED

Anyone who can't be at least honest about that is being mad disingenuous. I don't even think Kendrick is wrong for feeling that way (I don't think there's any one of Drake's peers who hasn't felt envious/jealous of his success/place in the game at one point or the other).
It's like the Warriors winning 10 straight finals. The first year they win the championship, everyone will root for them and love them but by year 5 of them always winning, it'll be a lot of players in the league hating. It's simple human nature.

I don’t think Kendrick was bothered by narratives that only existed in the Drake sxn on this site
Imagine how it feel to watch another nigga at the top
You know that if it wasn't you, you would be dissin' you, dawg
Damn, okay, from that perspective
I see what you're talkin' 'bout, no way to soften that
Cause me, I was tryna find out where I lost 'em at
But maybe I ain't lose 'em at all
Maybe I keep movin' forward and they just stagnant
They ain't movin' at all
But when they need a favor, who do they call?
So many in my fam are diehard eagles fans
They gotta secure these fumbles man
Hurts a scammer but we move

Okay that's fine..imo this is very telling about his mental space when he made that track: friendly competition, BUT, like you mentioned, rappers in general are mad sensitive (Clipse and Wayne beefing over BAPE, outside of Birdman not paying for a beat), then you just got the intent getting lost in translation (Big Sean and Dot almost went at each other because of this too), so Dot clarifying the intent might be seen as p****. I don't think it is, but I get it.

This isn’t true
Kendrick was asked to be on the song
This is pathetic just say you’re upset Drake lost but all these hoops and qualifiers yall do 6 months later based off lies to cope is funny
Didn’t TGD say she wasn’t going to care about something more than drake does?
