yeah when you break it down they're usually pretty well compensated and their pensions usually are crazy.
schools are definitely under funded though.
Tbh most aren't.
1. They get Summer vacation
2. Most just recycle all the same assignments/teachings each year
3. They don't work weekends, get Holidays off, AND get SpringWinter break.
However the select few who actually go the extra mile for students (i.e. spending their own money for stuff to give the students, putting in extra time consistently, etc) deserve more.
I believe MANY college professors actually make more than deserved though, its kinda ridiculous. Teaching 1-3 classes two times a week, just a few assignments the entire semester, etc.
Not to mention those professors who have TA's do all the actual work, and even require students to purchase their own published textbooks to get money directly from each student after getting a salary already.
Oh so I hit a soft spot good to know
Nah, bust some 16 year old on the internet has no business knowing about my life.
Please go ahead and explain how relative poverty and immigration are related tho
Do you think teachers just sit around on the weekends and holidays and throughout summer?
No but obviously realistically, they aren't putting in the same 40 hour weeks during breaks/holidays/Summer.
Most would take their pay in an instant if their job allowed them like 4 cumulative months per year where they had a softer work load.

We both know that's not the case, if your life was great and your job was respectable you'd have no issue telling me it would actually back your point.
And I'm not here to explain the correlation between a simple term and illegal uneducated immigrants to you go Google it and hopefully you'll be able to comprehend it

But they still do work.
And we're all just underestimating how much of an impact elementary teachers have on early childhood development.

define 'sit around' here

Well the way some itt are acting is that they do literally nothing.
Aiding
Yeah that subtraction and Lord of the Flies is really motivating the youth

But a lot of teachers with years of experience are legit making like $70k, and having 4~ months where they do 10-20 hours a week of lighter work.
You don't think there's PLENTY of people who wish their 9-5s would pay them that much, and give them 4~ months of part time workload? Lmao.

The average teacher salary is less than $40K.

You're referring to average starting salary.
Every single state has an average salary overall for teachers above $40k. businessinsider.com/teacher-salary-in-every-state-2018-4#33-maine-19
80% of states pay the average teacher over $50k. And thus the ones who have high years of experience probably average even considerably more.

Summer is 3 months~, and Spring break/Winter break/Fall break/federal Holidays add up to around another month.
And they get a good amount of sick/vacation days. Some teachers would STILL consistently have substitutes all the time for them despite all those breaks

you that one kid in class who figured out god doesn't exist so you try to make it apart of your identity challenging anyone's beliefs because you must be right and no one else knows what they are talking about. very ignorant and childish worldview. but you will grow up.
Oh, man. I thought OP was just being a dumbass for the hell of it, but turns out that’s just who he is. S***s like him are the reason teachers burnout - after dealing with unhelpful administration, lack of supplies, lack of support staff, class sizes over 30 - imagine having to put up with a f***er who thinks access to Wikipedia on his chromebook makes him Stephen Hawking. Imagine having three of him per period.
Teachers are told to not demand higher wages (because “we’re not in it for the money” has become an excuse for “you don’t deserve a livable wage), not to take days off, and are told to work after hours. But having two months off to deal with the capitalistic hellfire of the USA fixes all of that, I guess.

No I just asked a simple question asking her to provide any evidence of God's existence since she was 100 percent sure and forcing it onto others. Don't bring God up in a place where you're supposed to discuss scientific topics
