damn now i wanna go to hell i wanna f*** on a thick ass demon b****

  • It is created purely cause humans can't believe everybody goes to heaven, cause that seems unfair when clearly they're "better" then SOME people, and the hate they weigh on others has to be cosmically justified in some sense.

I agree, I also think the sentiment of waiting until death for paradise and happiness in heaven is weird and not good. I can see it being a total test of delayed gratification and that being the ultimate reward but just living a dormant life just in hopes of a better one after doesn’t sit right with me. Why wait until you die to be happy? Why wait until death for heaven? Make it on earth.

    Blessed post

It was to my understanding Hell was on earth after judgement day so it doesn't exist currently.

Depends on the book and religion. Hell isn't mentioned in the bible itself, people just be reciting Dante's Inferno imagery iirc. That or interpreting a f***ing poem that is the book of Revelations like it's literal.

yeah I just want to know why Christians always talk about hell when it's not really mentioned as a place you go when you die.

Cause going to heaven with gays/trans/non-whites/etc. makes people uncomfortable. Easier to "love your neighbor" in this plane of existence if you can imagine them burning in hell in afterlife and you chillin' in the clouds.

I’m not perfect but I wouldn’t consider myself evil by any means, I hate when people try to scare me into doing religious s*** out of fear of going to hell, and people wonder why religion is on the decline in the West among young people, especially with the rise of the internet and everything, no offense to religious folk but this is a major turn off for me among other things

Yeah, for sure. If people are going to do good things and avoid the bad, they should do so out of genuine concern for others, not just to avoid going to hell.

This is something that always bothered me about a lot of religious people. They seem to only do good deeds to earn respect points with God and/or their religious peers, not for the love of others.

There's no justifying infinite punishment for finite actions. If Hell exists then god is evil

  • Nov 17, 2020

also the concept of hell also ruins Heaven. It's highly probable a person in Heaven will know someone close to them in Hell. Think of the misery, endless worrying over someone you loved burning away for eternity. Doesn't sound like paradise to me

    Relax.

There’s dumb people in every group of people

Dumb religious people and dumb atheists.

Be who you want to be. As long as you’re a good person, that’s all that matters at the end of the day

  • Nov 17, 2020

a concept of a villainous figure willing to punish you and take you to damnation for not following their rules is part of nearly every religion/cult/large organized belief system in a higher power/individual

it’s a f***ed up way to use fear to balance out the positives from the negatives

the american prosperity gospel is honestly the reason why the country is so f***ed by “evangelicals”, hawks and vultures who say they praise god and love all of the people but damn everyone else that isn’t them or their inner circle or the people who don’t give money to their church/televangelist to hell

i don’t get how these cacs look down on their fellow man for being dirty sinners but are hand-in-hand in supporting the man who is the embodiment of american sin and hatred

Cause if they truly followed the book they would realize the whole system is f***ed up top to bottom, and explicitly goes against the text they follow.
