Alright now speaking on the video content, this is exactly what ive been trying to say for the f***ing longest but you were able to get every aspect of it and present it perfectly. The way people are dressing and chasing trends is the most artificial s*** known to man.

People are not willing to work around their taste and find something they are personally comfortable with, they want everything instantly and will do anything to feel that 5 day rush of having what everyone else has, only to ditch whatever bootleg or legit piece they have for the next hot, algorithm boosted item.

Big ups to you for making this video g

Even Hidden.Ny has fallen off. People get so into a box and a routine, but I also know a lot of these kids do it for the clout and no a genuine interest in preserving fashion and cluture.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of them didn't even know where to source pictures because they post 240p pixelated photos sometimes

    So Illegal

im SUUUUPER pro-gatekeeping in regards to authenticity and knowledge

people dont recognize that these things are CULTURE, not just articles of clothes, music, or side hobbies.

i think if it was re-framed as a culture the way it's handled would change drastically, where authenticity and knowledge are just as valued(if not more) than what you can afford.

I think that's were the idea of "cultural apportion" comes from but people don't think critically enough to really understand where that phrase stems from.

Like I said I have no problem with people talking and using motifs if they are genuine and sincere, Nigo is genuinely into all the things he takes influence from for example.

It did, I only messed with them for a few months before i got sick of being shown the same s*** for so long
And yeah facts!! They 100% just screenshot s*** from other pages and throw em on their own

Its funny, so much of this issue stems from one basic life value and thats to just be yourself
Everyone has to re-learn that ASAP, or people are going to fall farther into the pit of fake interest

I feel like ever since The Ten collection dropped it normalized reselling sneakers for 700+

I remember back in 2014 I bought resale Bred 1s for 300-350$ish and thinking that I was crazy but f*** it I really wanted them. It's a shame cause there's a couple of the OW/Nike pairs that I really like but i'm never spending that much on shoes

Yea but speaking from personal experience of finding my own style and pieces that im truly into, the s*** is hard work. I love the process of it all and feel more and more fulfilled as time goes on but a majority of people don't have the foresight or patience to even entertain an idea like that when all the work and thought is done for you in addition to feeling included in something

  • Jun 10, 2020

this nigga preachin some real hard truths

  • Video is all facts

I am def guilty of being white and buying one of the Supreme Undercover Public Enemy Tees, gotta say I don't really wear it out often cuz even tho it doesn't have the "fear of a black planet" motif on it I still feel like I'm co-opting something I have no part in.
