oh this is only $50 that’s nice actually
You can prob find a second hand copy of tlou2 for $10 or $20 then upgrade to the remastered for $10
Coming back to the game I’m confused all over again by why the reactions to it were so extreme. I get not liking the game even tho I think it’s great. But worst of the year, franchise ruiner? I don’t see anything that explains that level of hatred towards it

It's solely because of Joel dying at the hands of Abby and it being leaked out before the game released, that's always been the case as to why those negative reactions have been as extreme as they were
Will look up. Awww man thats a bummer that was my main personal draw to play it. LOL I mean I had skimmed previews but figured with factions cancelled any cut level was developed into a full idea to fill in the gaps. I was really hyped for that so kind of bummed out but glad developer commentary is dope I guess
Yeah they’re all in a pretty rough state, especially the party scene in Jackson. It would’ve been cool to see them cleaned up a little more and maybe added into a separate main story mode as like a directors cut. But I can definitely see how that’d ruin the pacing (which is the main reason given why all these levels were scrapped).

I just don't understand waiting 4 years to release them without any additional development work it seems . But I am truly just a guy

You know exactly why. Also 2020 in general was a high strung year for a lot of people. They wanted escapism to a larger degree. Last of Us 2 forces the user to confront more from themselves and humanity than they would like to. Also to be honest specifically the white male population. Who that year and overall when it comes to gaming is not trying to be anything but the hero.
So it questioned many of those things they hold dear. I have my qualms with some writing points and pacing . But I could never hate it per se.

imo the Jackson and boar levels weren’t really worth finishing unless they were to expand on them a lot. The sewers level seems to be pretty much done apart from some textures and animations, you could slot it into the main game and I think it would work. But the other 2 would’ve required a lot of extra work, the studio is probably all hands on deck for whatever their next game is.

I think in a way I thought with 4 years and cancellation of factions 2 they would expand on any holes they felt they had with a hint of a lead into 3. Do the extra work to really stunt with a directors cut feel and documentary. Also to lead into hints of what season 2 of tv show would expand on too. So that it feels like a complete package. It is what it is though and thats still cool its only 50$ and 10$ upgrade. What I am talking about would cost more

i kinda wanna have the ps5 cover tbh
lowest i’ve seen on mercari is like 30 so would rather just pay a bit extra
Does the remaster ugrade replace the original game or can you still access the PS4 version if you have a digital copy?

It's a separate sku
This is cool but just makes me want a new naughty dog game
why make a new game when you milk an old one?

Let them cook, 2 new games in development

One likely last of Us 3. At this point even if I get the pro will likely wait to play what they make next on PS6 cause they will update it again so will just wait. That is me personally. Again the cancellation of Factions 2 the way they did then dropping this just has me like "cool"
Completed my first run attempt and got an S on the boss, absolutely brilliant way of incorporating the game'e excellent combat and stealth mechanics without being constrained by the story's limited number of scripted sequences
Only pain in the ass is that even if you import your save you have to purchase extras with your points all over again, it doesn't carry that info over
I’m so excited for the Grounded II documentary. I still rewatch the first Grounded till this day whenever I want a good watch.

blockbuster sequel that took a controversial unconventional path
happens across mediums
its like completely changing ur sound on the sophomore after going diamond on the debut
its also incredibly queer and signaled the end / swan song of the straight white male protagonist in gaming. a couple years after rdr2, probably the last great protagonist in that vein
a lotttt of ppl (well deserved hes written well) identified and loved joel. to any writers, it was the obvious choice. to gamers ? they saw it differently
The directors commentary for this is so good
hate that i have to replay the camapign to unlock it
