Yes! The sound design is up there with peak video game sound design.

An other thing that sticks out to me is the way ellie or abby start panting and breathing heavy during the running/hiding/fast combat parts is next level too. I’m sure other games have done it too but it’s so incredibly effective to make things feel extremely raw and visceral. Goes a super long way. No music, protagonist breathing extremely heavy, wet blood leaking sounds as enemies scream and s*** is so
