This is somewhat true but I feel as tho smaller artists or artists coming up can do so, but if you’re a solidified act and you veer off your path and make your fans play catch up with you, you’ll hurt a bit.

Nah I loved the Kendrick album tho, that’s a small minority. Most people who love drake love Kendrick.

Can’t say it’s Kendrick’s best project but the main themes he got off on that album were spot on. He was creating art and incorporated a few new sounds on his project, he was creatively there. And I would say the same for drake. Is it their best s***? No. Will they keep creating art? Yes, it’s an ongoing process. Everyone of Picassos paintings weren’t the best of all time, they served purposes at every point in time. And that’s how you should take any artists music, grow with it.
