Furio might not be dead tho
Furio isn’t dead. Maybe he meant sil?

Sil just in a coma but I think Furio died in Italy

why u think that
small nitpick:
I like Tony B's arc in season 5 (tries to go straight, beats up the asian guy lol, then kills a couple new york guys leading to Phil's general villainy for the remainder of the show and Tony S having a tough decision to make not to give him up for Phil's torture)
however, tbh I don't love Steve Buscemi in the role. I like Steve as a character actor and I know he was already a director on the show but he feels like a bland casting choice to me. I think season 5 would have been better with someone else there. he's not bad he just doesnt jump off the screen like Richie Aprile and Ralph did in the seasons before him. he's dull.
random note: so often in movies or shows they get actors that are either not Russian or know like Ukranian or similar sounding language, play the role of some Russian character.
Going with an actual first-language Russian broad for the Tony side-piece girl in first few seasons made it super authentic. And they got to go all in on the Russian stuff with her using it quite often as a result.
I guess most shows/movies have trouble finding Russian speaking actors for larger parts - Sopranos got a gem though cause she's so prevalent in Season 2 and maybe its a small credit for them - most people dont know if somebodys Russian is actually f***ed up or not unless they speak it - but was cool af for me that they played it authentic.
cheers

James was a dookie head
bruh livia is such a f***ing horrible character
edit: maybe they made her to be easily hated - if so, they succeeded
paulie is my favorite character

Yeah they COMPLETELY f***ed up the minorities, portrayal of Pakistanis was wayyyy off too if you saw a typical Pakistani person, you’d think they were Indian, no differentiation physically, they were literally the same country like 60 years ago (huge racial changes wouldn’t occur in that time)
On the show they posed them as some middle eastern people and not South Asian which they are

Just finished and man this was deadass one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. Rarely am I satisfied with the last season of a show but this was such a great watch. Perfect ending too

GOAT show, watched it all twice. Just hate the last scene.
You know my feelings: Every day is a gift. It’s just, does it have to be a pair of socks?’
He got all in his life but he still find his existence tedious?
One of the most famous quotes yet I don't understand the real meaning.

Last scene was brilliant.
In my view he gets his brain blown out at that moment. Now when I think about the ending we got versus an ending where they show him getting shot and maybe Carm screaming in horror .... the ending we got is so much better IMO
But I’ve gone through a lot of different opinions on the ending in the 10+ years since it aired. And that’s also part of why it’s great. I still think about it.

Facts! I remember hearing about mad people complaining about the ending and it’s justified if you watched it real time but I also feel like it aged well and answered everything we wanted. It’s hinted throughout the show what happened to and who did it and why. I was very satisfied

What do you think happened?
