Rank all David Simons series
Have only seen this and we own this city
Watching The Deuce rn, i like it so far more than Better Call Saul
After deuce I'll watch Show Me a Hero
Idk if Treme is my kinda show someone let me know if it's good, I don't like musicals if it mostly revolves around that
so when exactly does this show get good? i just got to season 3 of this and this has been very boring to watch so far
some characters like avon, stringer, dee, etc seem interesting but they dont get nearly as much screen time as the cops do (aside from like dee and the young niggas) but they locked all their asses up by the end of s1
Marlo truly went in few scenes from "MY NAME IS MY NAME
" to "Yo do you know who I am?
"
Fantastic character but guy got some serious childish inferiority issues.

Eh fam a friend of mine throw some truly dirt on the first seasons just to consider great season three and five while ranking the fourth a masterpiece.
I'll suggest you to keep going since this show is a masterful storytelling about the pitfalls of capitalism.
If it doesn't hit you more I guess it just isn't your cup of tea.
when rawls said "shit went bad, she took two for the company. thats the only lesson here." that was hard
Hey Mr. Nugget, you da bomb! Let me write my clowny-ass name on this fat-ass check for you.

This is going to sound like nonsense and a complete waste of time but the show is much better on the 2nd watch. I doubted this show the whole time during my first watch (loved S4 and parts of S3). It didn't become one of my favs until I rewatched it.
Damn did not expect that in season 3 feel like this gonna fell off for the remain of the series

season 4 one of the best seasons of television
finished it a couple days ago and meh
i thought the ending was good for what it was, (particularly marlo's last scene). think the main issue boils down to me not caring for a majority of the cast. the show has like 40 niggas by the end of it and i only cared for like 6-7 of them (3 of which ended up dying) because of this, the first 3 seasons were an absolute chore for me to watch (ESPECIALLY season 2).
season 4 is when the show finally started to move me with them having a new cast of youngins and the former officiers becoming teachers to help the kids apply themselves at school. season 5 was also gearing up to be as good because how season 4 ended and where it started off only for it to feel very anticlimactic. omar, who we see for the entirety of show, is a force to be reckoned with, just gets blicked by some lil ass kid. yes i know he's weak at this point from jumping off a 4 story apartment and yes i know his legacy is practically cemented forever but it still just feels unsatisfying how he went out.
in short, this show just wasnt for me. maybe a rewatch down the line will change my mind on it but i doubt it

how Omar goes out is perfect imo, everyone was expecting it to happen in some huge epic way but nah, seemed very realistic
