if you or anyone else is interested in labor politics, i highly recommend the book “there is power in a union” about the history of labor movements in america. it talks about those things you mentioned, which most people interested in this subject are aware of, but it’s fascinating to dive deep and also see how the attitudes towards labor unions in the US have changed so much over time

You may have studied slavery in America but any decent history class will teach you how to properly compare historic situations and first and foremost how to ask/respond to pertinent questions....
You clearly don't see a problem in reasoning with how you reduced slavery from different historic periods to their lowest common denominator and yet want us to believe you somehow are well versed in history...

No I have only studied American slacery. Is it within your reach though? Enlighten me @DonutHole . How is slavery today fundamentally different from slavery in any or all of those periods? How are those difference inherently due to capitalism?

Ok here's a fleshed out idea.

Abolish landlording, rent and mortages no longer exist. targeted social housing in areas where there lots of homeless people. Owning multiple properties is no longer allowed, you own one home, the one you choose to live in. continue to build social housing in other areas with smaller amounts of homeless people. to the extent it needs to be, housing is now fully subsidized by the state.
