DonutHoleYou may have studied slavery in America but any decent history class will teach you how to properly compare historic situations and first and foremost how to ask/respond to pertinent questions....
You clearly don't see a problem in reasoning with how you reduced slavery from different historic periods to their lowest common denominator and yet want us to believe you somehow are well versed in history...This is a forum mate. No I have only studied American slacery. Is it within your reach though? Enlighten me @DonutHole . How is slavery today fundamentally different from slavery in any or all of those periods? How are those difference inherently due to capitalism?

You guys are coming at synopsis because he's not providing info that you want but simultaneously post half-assed statements about slavery and capitalism like it's the gospel...
It's just not a good defense at all (on both sides for different reasons) for what you were trying to argue...
You studied American slavery and then jumped from that to slavery periods you didn't study (as far as I'm concerned) to justify slavery existing (if I'm not mistaken that's the point you were trying to make, slavery has always been apart of society so what's the problem, you can't blame it on capitalism was what I got out of it)
I don't even understand how that's the hill you chose to die on when American slavery was maintained and defended on several grounds one of them being economical... what American slavery did you study? Was it the practice (they got whipped and beaten etc) or the philosophy, economical, religious, military and pseudoscientific reasons employed to justify it...

Abolish landlording, rent and mortages no longer exist. targeted social housing in areas where there lots of homeless people. Owning multiple properties is no longer allowed, you own one home, the one you choose to live in. continue to build social housing in other areas with smaller amounts of homeless people. to the extent it needs to be, housing is now fully subsidized by the state.

I didn't bring it up to say I'm an authority on it, op said something about "you haven't researched American slavery" even though it's not that relevant to this thread and I said that I had.
None of the rest of your WOT post actaully gives any info about this s*** again so ya you don't know wtf has been going on with slavery now or in the past either. That was my point. I'm not saying capitalism isn't to blame cause slavery has existed in the past, just that op doesn't know what the root causes are, but him and others on this site make threads daily about it. I don't know either, but I don't make weekly threads claiming I do. If you had actually read my posts on this thread instead of knee jerking as you do, you would see I'm not defending capitalism I'm just trying to see what alternative people want.

addjau could try to make us feel bad but most of us are stuck in a 9 to 5 with barely any money left after bills. Most of us are stuck in this same system, we're just in a much more comfortable spot, they happen to be at the bottom. We can't do s***, so why worry? get high n fly
