Never gonna happen at least not at the rate he’s going because one P was always genuine about his people he never put them down because he was into different things and they accepted him because realest is bigger than anything he was cool with being an alien but never alienated himself. He help give people opportunities at the point where they would benefit more than him he seen black artist from the hood with a great amount of talent like clipse and fam lay and instead of casting them aside as typical hood niggas and waiting for them to blow to get feats for cool points he produced for them early and actually help them develop into GREAT artists no matter how different they were to the point where they were equals when someone like Tyler would be like nah to someone like youngboy back in 2016 because he was a “basic trap rapper”
Exactly bro!! I’m glad you can see this instead of sitting around trying to feel sorry for Tyler cause a specific audience dosent f*** with him and act like it’s for no damn reason
Sorry this not actively going at you just in general of Tyler’s sentiments. You see how you just threw lil durk under the bus? Because he doesn’t make as “adventurous” music as Tyler which would lead people to believe that he’s a lesser artist than him or he just doesn’t “care” like Tyler said in the interview y’all don’t see this as f***ed up? Or the elitism that this shows y’all lowkey are being as close minded as Tyler accuses other niggas to be just because durk doesn’t make what your idea of experimental music is or doesn’t produce that doesn’t mean he’s any less of an artist he’s clearly passionate about what he does and continues to progress. That’s why I’m not falling for the narrative that Tyler pushes that “geeks” get looked down on because some geeks are the most snobbiest people on earth and they will quickly put you down once they feel like they have something that’s better than what you have
It’s not elitism though when Tyler actually puts more work and creative thought into his projects. Does durk direct his own videos? Does he produces his whole album? Has he created his own clothing line? I’m not knocking durk but Tyler is definitely more passionate than say durk or any hood rapper.
They are both hungry in different ways, durk was hungry to feed his family and make money off of his raps and try and get out of the streets while Tyler was more hungry artistically in pursuing music as something he liked and a art form.
Everyone knows that he’s not gonna get plays in the streets or in clubs, honestly Tyler doesn’t really need listeners in the streets anymore since we’re in 2021 and there’s been a prominent rise in the nuances of alternative /artsy black people that were most likely called weird or different by other blacks when they were in highschool.
And let’s not act like their are most listeners that majorily listens to hood music, are stuck in a box and are afraid to branch out and go left field and explore more.

Facts. Also why P is one of my favorite artists ever
Exactly bro!! I’m glad you can see this instead of sitting around trying to feel sorry for Tyler cause a specific audience dosent f*** with him and act like it’s for no damn reason
Because I can see right through that s*** and like I understand how bad this s*** can get for black kids who are “different” in the hood nigga I used to get teased so much and I didn’t have my mom to protect me like Tyler did but that NEVER made me fold on my people because there was also niggas around me who treated me right no matter how different I was and I kept it real and stood on ten when someone was trying to disrespect me we already alienated enough by white people why would I alienate myself from my community or runaway that some fake s*** the small group of people who point out how weird you are do represent the whole hood there’s ignorant people EVERYWHERE so why would I hold that against my folks if you see something out of the ordinary you gonna question it and what Tyler fails to mention the niggas who he claim looked at him weird also got mistreated one way or another like blacks don’t get stereotyped and profiled we all apart of the same struggle Tyler just got rich fast and thinks he’s special

All that doesn’t matter if the music isn’t good Durk is more passionate about his music with real visceral content , Tyler raps about random nonsense

How do you know Tyler puts more work and creative thought into his music? Half the s*** you mentioned has nothing to do with music. It's just him building his brand and having other business ventures which Durk does have it's just different. And yeah, he sells clothes lmao. Every rapper does that fam. Durk has put out more music than tyler has and it's not like Durk didn't switch up. Old durk doesn't sound like new durk. Even when durk uses no auto now, you can tell he changed up how he rapped and became more poetic in what he says. It's comparable but you just dismiss it like a lot of people on this website when it comes to street rappers in general.
Tyler is a raphead. He cares about his respect. Artsy black people are not rapheads the way someone like ebro or your average kid in the inner city might be. Tyler wants respect because he loves hip-hop. It's cool to have fans. It's another thing to be respected by the genre that gave you the platform to be successful. Every serious artist in hip-hop wants that respect. It's more important than fame or fortune.
All that doesn’t matter if the music isn’t good Durk is more passionate about his music with real visceral content , Tyler raps about random nonsense
Durk music is not better no matter how “raw” you care to call it.

Nah cmon now tyler do got songs where he talking about s***.
This is literally the closest thing to a day in the life of andre benjamin for his generation of rap
When Umar said some Niggas gotta die this who he meant @YoungNastyShawty @KIN
FREE been in that one bag all day
Durk music is not better no matter how “raw” you care to call it.
I’m a fan of both and I prefer Durks output over the last 3 or 4 years to Tyler’s tbh
He was saying the hard R in his songs like crazy and was making school shooter songs
He talks about dating white boys all the time
A black person saying the hard r means its for white people ?? Thats wild
And don't rappers rap about f***in with white girls all the time
Tyler has SEVERAL pro black lyrics and lyrics s***ting on his white fans
Y’all call everything racist
Racist fascist colorist elitist misogynistic socialist protagonist

You missed my entire point. You are also putting “hood rappers” in a box and playing right into what these white people want you to think WHO THE F*** CARES IF TYLER PRODUCES AND MAKES HIS OWN VIDEOS does that make lil durk less than an artist than Tyler? If lil durk only rapped for the bag than he would’ve stopped because he’s richer than he’s ever been. Durk has a label and clothing brand with OTF. What’s the f*** wrong with rapping to feed your family and get out the hood? You should Congratulate him for making it out such a dire situation without having s*** handed to him! Compare how durk sounded back then to now and tell me he didn’t progress as an artist or you just gonna ignore that because he not wearing vans, d***riding Wes Anderson, and putting 30 chord progressions in his songs?(not saying that’s bad) art manifests in many different ways durk expresses himself in they way he does and he executes on it well. What you doing is definitely elitism because instead of acknowledging him as the great rap artist he is you just pushed him to the side as another hood rapper. It’s so sad that niggas do this y’all playing right into the divide that white peoples put us in. It’s black music no matter how it sounds. Trap or alternative stop with this snobby s*** it’s corny and doesn’t make you look as quirky as you think it does. This for niggas like Kaylin too(iykyk)
I’m a fan of both and I prefer Durks output over the last 3 or 4 years to Tyler’s tbh
Durk is alright but I’m not really checking much street music anymore unless they’re going in the avenue to where thug went with it
Durk music is not better no matter how “raw” you care to call it.
If you haven’t listened to Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 you’re just as dismissive as Tyler and his ilk
Durk is alright but I’m not really checking much street music anymore unless they’re going in the avenue to where thug went with it
You’re talking in circles
Durk is alright but I’m not really checking much street music anymore unless they’re going in the avenue to where thug went with it
If Thug wasn’t “avant gard” and quirky y’all wouldn’t rock with him like that. He’s every hipsters favorite street rapper. That’s why y’all always use him as the exception.

TALK TO THEM! this s*** goes all the way back to outkast and how they perceive big boi as the least skilled
I mean like because there’s black people everywhere bro Tyler may not have a vocal audience in some hoods but that doesn’t mean there isn’t some kids who go home and bump them on their own time lol s*** maybe in highschool someone probably turned earthquake on and they didn’t even know who Tyler was but they was like “damn this kinda catchy” you know what I mean?
Yeah I feel u bro

I actually didn’t rock with thug up until a certain point. And I wouldn’t say thug is the only artist from the streets in my rotation.
My taste in music varies and I’m always exploring different music or going back to stuff I missed or just randomly stumbling across stuff. Honestly I don’t think I’ve listened to any hip hop so far this month.
He just doesn't act in a stereotypical manner in which we associate with blackness. If being anti black was enough to mean anything then Wayne and numerous other rappers who have said or done worse to actual black people would be cancelled but they aren't nor are they held to their past anti black statements the same.
Wayne has said way worse stuff about black people and he was older then Tyler was and it isn't brought up nor is he called white for it or distanced from black people.
As far as Khaled says he frequently said bigga and when called on it doubled down.
This is hilariously inaccurate.
People don't call Lil Wayne's MUSIC anti-black (and it comes down to subject matter, legacy, and seniority rule. All of this comes down to what the radios promote) but between his skating gimmick and the constant cooning moments, he has definitely been killed for that.
niggas killed Wayne for his emmett till lines. That "what is black lives matter" interview was getting memed to death for months.
This is spot on but Tyler is much, much weirder than Kanye, and even Prince. Prince was sexy but that wasn’t THAT bad in the 80s. Stevie is mainstream and tame as f*** lol that’s a terrible comparison
And I don’t think it’s bad for Tyler to want his ppl to like his music, it probably sucks to be on stage and watching a bunch of white people staring at you - that’s what f***ed Dave Chappelle up
Do you not remember Prince's early subject matter?
Nowadays Childish Gambino is more "weird & strange" than nowadays Tyler I would say in terms of music, for example lol.
that just says more about how hilariously musically unintelligent we've gotten.
Cause most of Childish Gambino's music is just derivative of funk/70s joints.
Tyler always been corny but idk why I find this nigga the most intolerable and corniest he’s ever been at point in his career. He was so against cars, jewelry and fashion for no apparent reason and now he just looks like a caricature of himself and someone he would’ve made fun of profusely back then.
He was an annoying stain on the face of hip-hop all throughout his career but now that he thinks of himself as this serious auteur he’s mad that he doesn’t have his own people behind him but truth is he’s the same one who acted like he didn’t care if we we’re on his side to begin with and kinda indulged in it.
