How do you know Tyler puts more work and creative thought into his music? Half the s*** you mentioned has nothing to do with music. It's just him building his brand and having other business ventures which Durk does have it's just different. And yeah, he sells clothes lmao. Every rapper does that fam. Durk has put out more music than tyler has and it's not like Durk didn't switch up. Old durk doesn't sound like new durk. Even when durk uses no auto now, you can tell he changed up how he rapped and became more poetic in what he says. It's comparable but you just dismiss it like a lot of people on this website when it comes to street rappers in general.
Tyler is a raphead. He cares about his respect. Artsy black people are not rapheads the way someone like ebro or your average kid in the inner city might be. Tyler wants respect because he loves hip-hop. It's cool to have fans. It's another thing to be respected by the genre that gave you the platform to be successful. Every serious artist in hip-hop wants that respect. It's more important than fame or fortune.

I actually didn’t rock with thug up until a certain point. And I wouldn’t say thug is the only artist from the streets in my rotation.
My taste in music varies and I’m always exploring different music or going back to stuff I missed or just randomly stumbling across stuff. Honestly I don’t think I’ve listened to any hip hop so far this month.
