toxic masculinity is real and is an amplified version of traits that men can have in a healthy way. like being strong for other people in the family is positive thing but when youre totally emotionless and cold to try and be perceived as strong when youre actually weak..... .

i think via movies and s*** its so ingrained in society to be toxic for some personal benefit. like if youre ruthless and objectify women to show your 'strength' youll be rewarded. and i guess sometimes men do reward each other. but its like an imaginary standard that effects everyone and everything.

when women enter the work force they believe being toxic will help them because it has helped other men. or like the objectification of women carrying on to the point it has now, where women feel like they have to look supernatural.

doesnt mean that playing into the 'traditional' male role is totally bad. doesnt mean that being feminine is weak.

I don't like the term because it implies there's something inherently wrong with masculinity. The examples for toxic masculinity people list itt are either caused by a lack of actual masculinity, or other non-related problems imo.
