what the f***!!!!!! kondo has to die for this ending
Gameplay wise I already know this is going to be the best in the series just from what we have seen, what did you think about the story though?

I really enjoyed it. Like a lot of what was revealed and what's going to happen in the future games. Lots of wild s*** going on and I'm all for it lol. Pacing felt a bit slow at first, but I was (spoiler I guess) expecting this to be the final game in the arc, but it is definitely not, so it makes sense to me now.
You definitely don't wanna get spoiled and would recommend playing through it before the next game even gets announced.
Cool to get some actual confirmation on this. Kai def coming next year.
Unfortunately, playing Metaphor after Kai has been a bad choice. Have absolutely no drive to play it
in chapter 4 of daybreak and I'm not sure I prefer holo cores/drivers vs master/sub quartz
combat is still fun but I prefer the old orbment setup

The orbment system is usually dumbed down in the first games of a new arc. I do like how the orbment system in this is a bit similar to Sky orbment lines but they peaked with CS4/Reverie with how much customisation you have.
It might become more interesting later on though, @wes might know more since he played the later games

It's more or less the same as Kuro 1, just with more abilities. Now that I think about it, I don't think Kai really changed much (if at all?) when it came to that sort of stuff.
Are mods necessary for trails in the sky? I just started playing the game on my steam deck

Not necessary but I would say the mod that adds voice acting enhances the experience a lot
No announcement for the game after Kai for 2025... why live
Wonder if it's got to do with Sky remake? Potentially a simultaneous release, and if we get Kai in the west in 2025 then Kai 2 could also potentially be a simultaneous release but thats major cope

Yeah, that's my best guess. I also kinda figured they'd be putting out the new Tokyo Xanadu game, but that's not happening lol. Kondo said he knows people want Kai 2, so they're gonna be working on that after the Sky remake is done.
Wtf i should just wait until this comes out
Bout to run this s*** back
Pretty sure the OST drops on the same day (same week at least). Can't wait for that; s*** is so incredibly good.
@redtruth you plan on playing Kuro 2 on release?
I should be done with the current game I'm playing by the time it releases so hopefully. Now, when I plan to actually finish Kuro 2 is a different story
Heard the game isn't as long so maybe i'll finish this one quicker
It's time
Waiting for the post about Act 3
Curious to see if NISA announces the Kai localization today. Apparently they've announced the next title the day of the new release for the past few years now.
Just beat the intermission and I'm already exhausted, think I'm gonna put this on hold for a while until I feel motivated enought to start Act 3
