And education is also a choice so just like it’s not your job to educate anyone it’s not someone else’s job to educate themselves on an issue that doesn’t effect them personally.

This is unironically true though. People read three twitter threads while taking a s*** and consider themselves well-versed on the topic at hand. Nobody can actually be expected to be truly educated on everything. That’s why we have experts who dedicate their lives to single topics.
