lnstinctFeel like there needs to be more discussions around trans stuff in general
Bc there’s a lot I & others don’t understand whether it comes from a place of ignorance or not.
& the discussions shouldn’t be so heated all the time that people are ready to ban & fight others but I get that it’s very sensitive subject
see, but here’s the issue with the whole “let’s have a discussion” mindset right, the person who says this is typically looking to ask radically ignorant questions that could be rectified with a cursory Google
these types aren’t usually engaging in good faith, nor any actual genuine desire to actually understand the topic at hand’s nuances and arguments, it’s transparently obvious when someone is talking about something with no prior knowledge, and quite frankly it shouldn’t be trans people’s jobs (nor anyone’s really, if you ask me) to educate you and breakdown con-trans cliches and dissent, it’s exhausting and doesn’t really get anyone anywhere most of the time

Q3DThat's not even taking into account how a lot of kids don't even know they can actually do something about it hell i didn't f***ing realize it until I was like 20 because nobody even told me anything about these things before that

Huge bmass FanI don’t disagree that it may be currently necessary for trans people to try and feel some kind of acceptance but our progressive focus as a society should be to make it unnecessary rather than to continue the cycle.
I'm all for the disappearance of the concept of genders and sexes tbh but seeing how trans people are rejected worldwide I have a hard time believing it'll ever happen

its not our place nor our job to educate when you when have unlimited access to free information at your fingertips

Like, you personally benefit by supporting trans people as well, if that’s the motivation that you require. I mean, it shouldn’t be, you should do it because it’s the right thing to do, but f***, if you require some kind of personal incentive, there you go.

And education is also a choice so just like it’s not your job to educate anyone it’s not someone else’s job to educate themselves on an issue that doesn’t effect them personally.
I’m not defending ignorant people, it’s just the fact that @lnstinct is getting so much pushback itt over the idea of discussing the subject more is very odd.
