Free YoungBoyI actually agree with everything you said except the artistry part and the discography part. Wayne had the more original and creative music. Tyler is just more overtly “artsy”
On ktt discography = albums only and mixtapes aren’t as respected. Wayne discography is underrated imo

Honestly, I could've thought about Kanye, but the problem is that Ye literally came out the gate a "game changer". Plus he was already cookin up hits for Hov and the rest of the Roc lmfaoo
It's wild, because we have never seen an artist constantly improve their skills in the rap game like this since Wayne.
I don't know any artist that's having artistic evolution like Tyler.

ValentineIdk man, it’s a solid question to ask tho and think about.
For example I was first chair in band all throughout school but the nigga next to me in 2nd chair did all the practicing, jazz/marching/state band s***. Just when it was me vs him, I won. I would say he was definitely more musically inclined due to his extracurriculars and extent of practice, but not the better musician in our chosen instrument when it mattered most
Good point but then that turns subjective but if someone can do it all and can do them at the highest possible level then I think he’s the better musician personally. Which is why the Pierre Bourne being better than Hov argument is dumb to me. Now if we talk Tyler versus Hov MUSICALLY then that’s a valid argument

That’s your opinion. I’m just showing how silly that line of thinking is that just cause someone produces they are automatically better musically than someone who doesn’t.
It really just boils down to yall not respecting rapping as an art the way it should be

I just think a lot of the tyler criticism comes from hating his fans, and I get that but a fanbase shouldn’t make you not appreciate their contribution to the game. If legends, current hot rappers and even the youth appreciate Tyler for everything he’s done then maybe that says something..

I have no problem with acknowledging Tyler as an artist. The problem arises when yall try to tell us he’s better than Wayne, he has the best gangsta grillz tape and s*** like that. Because it’s often based in ignorance/dismissal of certain types of rap, than it is a respectable opinion
