We just moved in w my cousin about a month ago and the upstairs neighbors been living here for years and years

First night we got here we f***ed and it was a little noisy so I understood when they stomped then but literally if my girl sets her computer on the table she stomps upstairs, if we set down a glass dish when we’re doing dishes she’ll stomp, I knocked a empty plastic water bottle off my hand rest and it fell on the floor and she stomped, etc.

My girl has anxiety about doing anything now and we don’t really know what to do. We’re not being noisy, we’re literally just living in a house that we pay for. I seen her outside a couple times and the first day we were here i said hello and she just ignored me but I gave her the benefit of the doubt she didn’t hear me bc her back was turned to me. She some old lady that’s miserable as f*** and I think she’s prob just racist bc my girl is black bc my cousin had no issues w her really. My cousin had a going away party for their gf and there was 20+ people here SCREAMING and she didn’t do anything

Don’t really know how to go about this as I tried to ignore it and continue to live my normal life but my girl can’t get past it so I’m bout to just start hitting the ceiling w a broom every time she make a noise but I just feel like that will start an unnecessary war and bring us down to her level

Tldr: prob a racist old lady upstairs that stomps every time we move and make any noise

UPDATE: So basically 3-4 days ago we smelt a dead animal and woke up randomly at 4am because of it. It eventually went away and we forgot about it for now. Then 2 days ago she’s been watching us HEAVY every time we leave and enter the house. Hiding behind curtains in the pitch black and when we look up at her she just closes it and walks away. In the house whenever we go in a room she goes in the room directly above us, just listening to us talk and being weird as f*** and making us uncomfortable.

Side not but I got hit by a car on my bike yesterday lmao and it was a long day. We got back to the house and for some reason my girl wanted to go in the garage. There were maggots and flies everywhere. There was a dead rat or some rodent that was bloodied, skinned, and thrown underneath my gf’s mattress that we were storing in the garage until she left for school.

My girl lost her s*** and ran up the back steps and started pounding on her door, I pushed her out the way cause I don’t want her f***ing her up and ruining her own life because she’s a black woman and we know how this white woman would play victim. Fast forward the police are called and we just file a complaint to have it on file. Landlord comes to talk to us about everything and eventually we find out she’s been living here for 14/15 years and she does this to EVERY tenet that lives below her. The girl that lived here before us left because she felt uncomfortable and she was a black woman. A gay couple before her left for the same, etc, etc. She’s just been terrorizing people and been getting away with it this whole time.

My girl did go off on her when she answered the door which was pretty satisfying and she let some “ugly fat b****” and “your husband doesn’t love you”‘s ring out which had me dead
