Let's be very clear -- his joke takes Wuhan and people who are either from there or live there into a negative light -- and that is unacceptable.

The #1 topic in the world rn is Coronavirus, and it originated from Wuhan so it's a completely natural thought to associate Wuhan, or China in general, with the virus. And the guy is making small talk with new students. What would be your first thought rn if someone told you they're from Wuhan? lmao
