You’re still posting the misquote from IGN This was already proven to be a misquote. The correct quote is “ ps5 will enter the latter half of its life”, which means a 7-8 year lifecycle (a standard lifespan for every generation) because we’re in the beginning of the 4th year of ps5

No new current franchise titles, but there’s new IP coming instead. If there was new franchise titles coming, people would complain there’s no new IP coming. They can’t win. No matter what people will complain about something.

I’m excited for rise of the ronin and stellar blade and whatever is coming after April, this will be a good year, can’t wait for the announcements of what’s to come. I don’t need current franchises, I’m down for new s***.

would be definitely a pro-consumer move to make but of course a new gen console is their money maker. I think the ps5 will be pretty much the new PS3. Kinda inbetween and then the PS6 will cover all the bases.

Not at all, in fact this whole argument against Sony is based on the fact that instead of amassing a bunch of exclusives to make ps5 a better buy, they’ve been making games available on ps4 too, thus giving ps5 less exclusives.

In reality this is actually good for consumers. More people get access to the games if there’s less games kept as ps5 exclusives, and ps4 is like 120m+ households, so it’s a big difference.

Spider-Man: Miles morales, horizon: forbidden west, god of war: ragnarok, and other titles could’ve been exclusive and I guess some fanboys would be pleased with the exclusive lineup but that really doesn’t matter as much as consumers having the most access possible

Thing is, PS5 is still a monster right now. Power wise, it still competes with upper mid range PCs. It can graphically max out third party games at 30fps locked, at the least. A PS6 at this point, would be the most inefficient console ever, small gains at the cost of inefficiently using oversized power(sounds like PC).
