Interested to see what you think of Raging Loop, especially after reading Higurashi

13 Sentinels is a very easy pick I think you'll love that. Story is insane, music is great, the artstyle is gorgeous, and all the characters are really likeable. Pretty quick to get through as well.

I did start Steins;Gate a month or two back, and idk what it is man, but I just cannot get into it (anime or VN). On paper, it sounds perfect for me, but something isn't clicking. Got more than halfway through the anime, to the point where it "gets good", but I didn't stick with it.

Speaking of SciADV, I should've picked up Chaos;Head Noah & Chaos;Child when they were on sale for half off a few weeks back. Was also thinking about starting White Album 2 after I finish up Muramasa since I kinda feel like getting emotionally destroyed (though I can already see it happening with Muramasa lol).

As for Raging Loop, the only thing that has me hesitant is the ending since I know it's not the best thing ever. I will get to it at some point though

Heard White Album 2 was every bit as emotional as Fata Morgana. Haven't had watery eyes for something since that Umineko Magic ending, need to hate myself again.

Its very much a SoL anime and I actually like the SoL moments more than the fight scenes. Was pretty lukewarm on the game until the conversation with Soujyuro and Alice on the final exam day; the presentation of that scene and timing of this track was just magical asf. I just love the atmosphere of this VN

The extra chapter with Soujyuro talking to the bird that turned out to be British was hilarious asf too.

I like seeing Soujyuro’s POV more than Aokos since you get to see other characters like Tobimaru more often, Tobimarus relationship with Soujyuro is pretty cool. That being said I actually like all 3 of the main cast (especially Alice )

Recently finished VA-11-HALL-A too and I really loved this game.

You spend probably around 95% of the game in the same location but you get a really good sense of the way the world is structured through the conversations in the bar. Characters are cool asf and the OST is hard asf too. Also Dana is extremely based I love her

Seriously though, glad you're enjoying it. I just couldn't get very attached to any of the characters for whatever reason, though I'm sure some of that can be attributed to me not doing those extra chapters (which I was unaware of until after I finished the game lol). Pretty sure I saw the one girl who works (?) with Soujyuro like once in the entire story, so I prob missed something there Do really wish I liked it more though.

I think it's kinda similar to my problem with Octopath 2 where I just didn't get invested in the characters very much. Definitely would've preferred if the story in this got fully fleshed out (since it was supposed to be three parts from what I gather), but that doesn't look like it'll happen at this point.

Like you said though, the atmosphere is crazy good. Favorite parts were definitely the atmosphere, presentation, and the music (even though a chunk of it wasn't original to the VN itself lol). That song you linked/Alice's theme

I did and I loved it too, not sure if its cause I finished it recently but I also have been thinking about it more than Umineko. I really love the characters and I feel like Ryukushi really did justice to every single character in that last chapter.

Played THAT crazy gruesome forbidden VN the begins with an E last month, story was actually somewhat good

Don't get me wrong, I've really enjoyed what I've read so far, but something is just not REALLY pulling me in. I also kinda thought I was like 10 hours away from finishing since I completed two of the three route main routes, but apparently I'm only like halfway through, so it's still got time to get its hooks in me Think maybe part of it is that it throws a lot at you and can get kinda confusing (doesn't help that it doesn't show the name of who's talking and a lot of the names are traditional Japanese names that are hard for me to remember lol).

Damn apparently it's almost as long as a When They Cry story You would think an action story would keep the reader hooked the whole time. Also JFC at it not having speaker names, can't stand that.

I think I probably have like 40-50 hours left. I assumed it was like 45 hours tops lol. It does show the portrait of who is talking, but not the specific name so it's pretty rough at first knowing who is who.

White Album 2 is amazing bro, only finished the introductory chapter but it was real asf

Can't remember what I did to set it up but I do remember it being annoying

Also finished Cyanotype Daydream recently, structure is very similar to Fata Morgana. The English translation isn't the best but the themes it tackles is just really thoughtful and powerful. Honestly got to be one of my favourite VNs, I give Fata Morgana the edge because of the art and music but the art and music in this is really nice too
