Did they finally add in melee 3.0?

I dont even remember it altho they freshened up melee alot by adding very cool arcanes and a new mod category called „tennokai“ that basically allows you to do heavy attacks without resetting your combo counter. Making melee gameplay alot more engaging and putting it in a very good spot

Yeah the best/worst part about coming back to the game is figuring out what tf is going on

Really good grind game. Gameplay loop is very addicting. Similar to PoE where you have to have a wiki open or you don’t know what tf is going on

It’s more “pay 2 skip”. The only thing that’s exclusive to buy with the premium currency is cosmetics and slots. Slots are cheap though, and you can get them for free from events as well once in awhile. Think of it like a buy-in i.e. PoE stash tabs

Plus, you can trade items you farm for the premium currency too. So you technically never have to pay a dime, it’ll just skip parts of the grind if you pay.

Most things that aren't cosmetic can be acquired for free

Just a grind so Google and YouTube will be your friend when searching for specific things you may need

Game in a really good spot the qol changes are fantastic. Feels good having the game be in the hands of people actually playing it and not some particle effects obsessed maniac

I dont think its a destiny 2 situation. The game has a rough start due to being kinda easy but also badly explained but after that you get an incredible run of content to explore. The maps, expansions, gamemodes and cinematic quests theyve added in 11 years are all completely free.

Weapons, Characters, Skins, cosmetics and some items can be both farmed freely or bought with the premium currency. However the premium currency can be actually acquired through also farming and then trading with other players via an ingame chat or a third party website. So if you know what you doing you can get essentially everything for free.

However its not all perfect you will need to stomach 2010 phone game style gimmicks like crafting times for items or weapon slots. Which as I said you need the premium currency for which you can trade for easily

You will never have to buy a season pass or DLC in this game. All story and actual content are free. Very little content is ever permanently removed (except for raids, my beloved).

There are some new player QOLs coming in the next update, might be worth holding off till that drops.

List there but broadly making the initial start smoother and support with the modding system. Also, the next update will come with a free warframe (Caliban) who's getting re-worked.

they try to fix their new player experience so many times but I guarantee you most players farm their ass off for their first warframe and immediately uninstall when they see 72 hours crafting time
