weezer goes slowcore, good one! cowboy rivers is immensely underrated, and the look pretty much matches this song since slowcore is basicaly the culmination of americana music

this might be the greatest review of the angel and the one

took double album out title bc more sources related to the album confirms its 12 tracks

still curious why i heart radio listed it as two cds and three vinyls, not sure they would make this up out of nowhere if they’re selling it

maybe it’s some bonus thing... special release limited or something huh

I really enjoyed all the songs of the black album

It sounded more pop oriented and modern (2010s), like they abandoned "their original garage band sound"
Idk how you as a fan feel about that but I just enjoyed the album for what it is - fun, modern pop rock ?

On the track “The Prince Who Wanted Everything,” you have phrases like “funk-rock riffs” and “paisley bones.” Is that song about Prince?
Rivers Cuomo: It didn’t start out to be about Prince. But as I was working on the song and listening to it every day, I just couldn’t help but be reminded of him and his story. I was such a big Prince fan from probably about age 20, even before Weezer started. I just started tweaking the lyrics to make some Prince references.
