Yeah the impact of the western diet on other cultures is awful and it's directly linked to our global diabetes epidemic. One good example of the effect of the western diet on other cultures and their peoples health is in post-war Japan. They saw falling carbs, rising fats, all very standard stuff in terms of the western diet, and their rates of diabetes have grown 3-4x since the 80s.
I thought lots of carbs weren't that good for you anyway? Plus don't most of the problems come from excess sugar too? Which im surprised they haven't examined that in Japan yet. It's really sad to see this issue spreading worldwide now
It doesn't help that people in Japan are overworking themselves to death either
Make cleaner more healthier food option as affordable and accessible as a Wendy's 4 for 4 meal. Open more farms and vegetable garden, which would subsequently to more jobs... idk
There’s no such thing as big boned 99% of the time the person being overweight has a normal sized skeleton. You can Google it if you don’t believe me
This what OP thinks his cousins' skeletons look like.

Yeah its awful seeing the effects globally...
Carbs is fine, in fact its like the number one source of energy. Its the sugar and fats and super processed nature of the diet that does most of the damage yeah.

fats (healthy ones) not necessarily bad tho as they're crucial to our bodies and testosterone productions
im sure u already knew this tho 🫡
sugar and processed food are evil
stop processing foods that can be made naturally and stop hiking natural food prices
also lower the price to obtain an "organic" stamp for poorer farmers

Yeah rly no nutrient on its own in moderation is bad and in fact each is integral in its own way. But yeah when its too much of one thing and giga processed its bad news bears

No lol, I just think its some deformity and can bring various problems later in life. Some people are naturally big-boned though, but still vast majority engage in habits that causes them to get obese
Bro said no and then called it a deformity 💀💀💀
Higher wages, universal healthcare, more affordable housing.
People don't eat like s*** because they want to they do it because they have to. They do it because they dont have time, money, or energy to eat healthy. This is a failure of our society on multiple fronts, and solving these three most basic things would give you the greatest ROI on the average citizens health.
You can talk about sugar taxes and shifting subsidies around but at the end of the day people want to be healthy and eat good food. But when you're run ragged by a 40+ hour work week tryna juggle a dozen different bills and payments plus your kids or whatever you're gonna let things slide and you'd rather you and ya kids be fed than homeless or whatever you know.
We should nationalize costco

Carbs get broken down into sugars too

This is a good answer.
Everyone knows cheap, processed food is bad for you but we don’t care. Why? Because it’s cheap.
Certain vegans/vegetarians like to use the argument that it is cheaper to cook with veggies and you get healthier food but prep time also has to be taken into consideration.
