In reality
Orrrrrr the robot could video call it’s malnutritioned assembler everytime the obese person gets ready to feast 💡
A pill?
We humans; it’s Mind over body
Lmao
People need to be educated about the causes and prevention of obesity. A lot of people don't realize that overeating healthy food is still going to contribute to weight gain and that eating unhealth foods in moderation is okay. The gym is also not mandatory for losing weight and likely won't contribute that much to weight loss.
Also anyone who writes articles with titles like "Add this one food to your diet to speed up weight loss" should be thrown in jail
Obesity tax based on body fat % that comes out of your paycheck. All the money is distributed to fit people as a reward for being fit
Encourage fat shaming. It works in Asia. No reason it can’t work here
In a similar thread to #2, hold people accountable. Stop with the big is beautiful propaganda, stop with the body positivity nonsense.
Body positivity is for people with defects they CANT change. Yes you should own that. Body positivity is not for obese slobs who choose to be that way.

Yep
Being completely honest, this kind of stuff is what kills people on the inside slowly. I’ve seen a few people look like they were gasping for air just by walking a few steps. Kind of depressing.
And this may hurt the sensitive kind of group, but it needs to be said. Most of this stems from being lazy and eating too much. It’s scientifically proven that if you excercise a lot you burn calories, whether it’s through working out or daily activities. Fat people eat a lot and don’t do anything all day that puts their bodies through stress. This is a bad area to fall into. Don’t get caught in the trap.get out there and make yourself useful.
Higher wages, universal healthcare, more affordable housing.
People don't eat like s*** because they want to they do it because they have to. They do it because they dont have time, money, or energy to eat healthy. This is a failure of our society on multiple fronts, and solving these three most basic things would give you the greatest ROI on the average citizens health.
You can talk about sugar taxes and shifting subsidies around but at the end of the day people want to be healthy and eat good food. But when you're run ragged by a 40+ hour work week tryna juggle a dozen different bills and payments plus your kids or whatever you're gonna let things slide and you'd rather you and ya kids be fed than homeless or whatever you know.
Lol just eat a salad and jog here and there.

Yeah the impact of the western diet on other cultures is awful and it's directly linked to our global diabetes epidemic. One good example of the effect of the western diet on other cultures and their peoples health is in post-war Japan. They saw falling carbs, rising fats, all very standard stuff in terms of the western diet, and their rates of diabetes have grown 3-4x since the 80s.
Aren't East Asian people skinnier also from the amount of stress induced by academic work/day-to-day jobs?
Teach people this simple concept:
Calories in
Calories out
Stop loading up foods with sugar
More work places should have free gyms or at least offer discounts at gym chains
Also changing peoples perception on exercise goes a long way. The idea that exercise should be hard is scaring a lot of people away. Play a fun sport like tennis, or get into martial arts. You don’t have to jog for an hour a day every day. Walking is exercise!

That’s another thing. People always want to lose weight FAST. And there’s no healthy/sustainable way to do that. Diet industry should encourage people to make small lifestyle tweaks to slowly lose weight over time but that’s not where the moneys at
It’s actually not complicated to solve the obesity epidemic but it all boils down to what’s profitable

Walking by itself is ok for cardio if it’s at a decent enough pace, but don’t try to act like this alone is enough to change body composition in someone who’s morbidly obese.
These people need to work up a sweat. Not saying you can’t start slowly with body weight excercises, but as soon as you get over the first stage, it’s time to ramp things up. Run on the treadmill. Lift weights. Get active (sports, any kind of physical activities) Cut calories, eat healthier. Stay away from soda, chips, cookies etc. it’s all sacrifice. Not gonna happen overnight, these people have to be ready to make a lifestyle commitment. Fad diets don’t last. Let’s not sugar coat this s***.
These people also need to be educated that once they reach their goal, it’s much easier to maintain from that point on. They would finally be able to indulge every now and then but everything in moderation. Life doesn’t have to be boring for the rest of your life…you just f***ed up the first part of your life by always being a fat lazy kid. Make the transformation

Bro don’t underestimate walking 4 miles (10,000 steps a day), especially as a morbidly obese person. Simply transitioning to a higher protein diet (NOT KETO), cutting out junk/sugar and walking will shed a ton of fat over a couple months. Also it’s just easily accessible and better on your joints. Obese people will certainly work up a sweat doing a vigorous walk
Obviously running and higher intensity exercise will yield better results, but it’s all about getting that foot in the door. Once they make exercise a daily lifestyle choice, then they can ramp it up
I also believe that everybody should be doing some form of weight training. Doing cardio exclusively will make you lose a lot of muscle over time
