I never said it’s not good, I just said English is the best because everyone speaks it, there’s a reason they teach other languages to young kids, because after a certain point it becomes hard for your brain to associate words with meaning, so if you do it as a kid it’s much easier, and def helps brain function

you're probably right that non-white americans comprise more of that 20% than white americans do, but that isn't really relevant since 80% speaking 1 language still indicates it's a general situation in america, just less widespread within certain populations

I’d say it’s up there

It’s modularity, expansive vocabulary, and ability to evolve quickly compared to most other languages makes it a very unique one and an effective candidate for a lingua franca
