What I really don't like is Verzuz as a brand. I think the concept of having two artists compare their hits in a little battle is pretty cool. I think trying to trademark that and then trying to profit off of that is really cringe. I think buying into that company's brand and acting like Verzuz is the s*** is equally as corny. Seeing ppl suck off companies that try n take over s*** that ppl were already doing will always disgust me.

What's crazy is many of the OGs loved the Verzuz battles, as they were great opportunities to not just share music, but also celebrate one another for their careers and drop some cool stories about the makings of some tracks, or their history with the artists.
Really have no idea how anybody can hate on this unless they're white. The only thing to dislike about Verzuz is how quickly it was ruined when they tried to commodify it.
Mar 21, 2022It was a great idea and was really something during the early lockdowns of 2020, but overtime they just ran it into the ground and it got stale.
I think the witting is on the wall at this point.
