Capitalism is the biggest catalyst or enabler of racism but racism is not a economic issue

30:00-35-00 the easiest destroying of the capitalist system

I watched the video and I domt entirely agree (altho the point about the car is facts and points out inefficiencies capitalism has)
I respect all 3 of these great thinkers even if I dont agree

The gentleman with the sunglasses (I tried searching for his name but couldnt quite find it) point about cuba and china and how their socialist systems return the workers produce to the worker is false, both have/had bloated bureaucracies and their own inefficiencies due to central planning, they were unequal societies and oppressive in different ways. Yes, cuba did face embargo, so let's focus on China- china misallocated many resources and caused famines under Mao, its prosperity grew when it opened up to trade.

Also china and cuba developed quickly yes, but massive amounts of blood of the poor was spilt during the cultural revolution. Many countries have developed quickly while avoiding this

So I disagree, altho they're not entirely wrong

It wasnt at all a weak strawman, my post wasnt intended to question the ability of socialism, it was intended to question the assertion that capitalism is automatically or inherently racist, and the idea held by many(not all) far left thinkers that racism will be removed via communist revolution

Don’t know of anyone that says people are personally racist because of capitalism so you’re misconstruing that if you think that’s what people are talking about when they say racism emerges from capitalism

there are def people who say that on like twitter but they dont know what theyre talking about, they aren't representative of any real ideology beyond whatever collective schizophrenia exists on social media

'class reductionism' is unfortunately a pretty big thing within some (very online) leftist circles

anyways main reason OP is an idiot is because very few if any socialists think this, so first he's creating a strawman.

second, we know racism will never ever end under capitalism. Maybe under socialism, idk, it has a chance.

Overthrowing capitalism is one of thr necessary steps that needs to be taken to get rid of racism, but it won't magically disappear when there are no more private enterprises obviously.
