I think you're being overly negative about the situation just so you can one up black people on some "but it's not your culture tho!"

Also what about when foreign black people appropriate American black culture? Like UK rap for example. You won't see any Americans saying their exploiting the culture, because their still marginalized black people regardless. They might say it's trash, but not exploitative

uk rap isn’t even the most popular lmao. it’s definitely cultural appreciation because artists ALWAYS shout out american rappers.

grime has always been more popular in the uk and that it has more roots in garage music which has roots in jamaican culture too.

I’m Haitian-American. It’s all the same to me honestly. Haitians originally came from West Africa, the ancestors of African Americans came from Africa etc etc, at the end of the day White people will hate us all the same they don’t give a damn about what “type” of black we are. Negro is not the same. And you should know that as a Haitian person. I know in high school, people would dog us Haitians for 0 reason. People ready to fight if they’re called Haitian. Had black kids start making the white kids make fun of exclusively Haitians. So no, we are not the same. White people dont even view us the same, they respect immigrant black people way more which causes friction
