I work a lot. I don’t watch a lot of TV or movies. Music is my main source of entertainment. I work in the music industry so I be needing inspiration from legends to keep me going. CLB was the one thing I was really looking forward to for the last two years more so than any other album. I don’t like it. F*** man

this isn't gonna get the love it should get because there's way too much filler drowning out the best songs drake has made in years. it's a shame because with just the best 12-15 songs this would be his best album since NWTS easily, but as is it only really clears scorpion.

However on second listen I’m liking the album more. I don’t like the excessive autotune on the album, and it feels like the beat selection is bland compared to his past work

I don’t think people understand the range he just showed while holding lyricism and music at the highest level and still pushing the sound in ways he hasn’t before. He really did what he was supposed to do and he delivered it flawlessly.

Only record I think didnt hit for me was the Jay one, only because of 2 things: 1) in the interview he said he was gonna bar out with jay and he didn’t. 2) I heard the leak too many times. And maybe the anxiety of wanting to hear the other songs makes this one skipable.

Thing is, when you have that many songs, some HAVE to be skippable even if they are good individually. Almost like he’s too good for himself…. TOO SEXY

The guy is literally going on YEAR 11 of providing new content, new bars, new music and he’s STILL finding ways to f***ing evolve. It’s mind blowing.

I kinda understand where op is coming from but I still disagree. On my first listen I felt kinda flat because we’ve been hyping this up for so long and I guess I was expecting something more concise, introspective/confessional and mature.

It’s been such a big build-up that it was almost overwhelming to have clb out and everyone judging it immediately.I still loved a lot of the songs on first listen, once I put my personal expectations aside and just appreciated it for what it is, it’s already growing on me.

Two listens in and I’m happy with it but I’m certain I’ll grow it love it with more listens and experiences with the music.

Edit: also wish I’d never heard any of the leaks or the fair trade snippet because they’re some of the highest points on the album and it kinda took the initial excitement away
