Lil Wayne and Rick Ross were amazing on CLB. On the contrary Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Travis Scott and Young Thug all disappointed on this album.
ngl I was fuming listening to it for some reason but there were some songs I liked on first listen. Probably just an okay, nothing groundbreaking
I disagree but I would say that Holy s*** is CLB a disappointment man. I can't believe that this is the album we have been waiting 2-3 years for man. This was Drake's last chance man. He can't make another classic, cohesive album to save his life. So many problems with this album.
His rapping is still has such a lack of energy. I want to like the rap records but this nigga rapping like he a f***ing novice with no energy and nervous or some s***.
He can't sign anymore. Always relying on autotune and s***. It's disgusting.
So much filler. There's about 6-8 songs that didn't need to be on here. Dude has a sickness.
How the f*** do you waste ANOTHER JAY-Z VERSE. Why the f*** would you put Jay-Z on Need me / Lotta 42 and he actually took out the f***ing outro?? Nah dawg Drake is a demon he washed.
Yebba just has a track by herself. I hate records like this on his albums. I was so excited about a Drake X Yebba song but he ain't appear on it at all.... man.....
Like I thought the Future and Young Thug record and all the songs with the usual suspects are ass. Man....
Where the f*** is the Drake that actually cared man? That put his soul in his raps?? That was actually elaborate with his song structures and song transitions.
Some pros about the album:
The Cudi record isn't as good as I thought it would be but it's still pretty nice.
Same as the Ross and Wayne record. They got some bars off I guess...
7AM in Bridle Path >>>>>> F***ING LOVE THIS TYPE OF DRAKE.
Intro and Outro were cool too... still lack of any amount of energy or effort or care but still they were cool..
Idk man... I thought that this would be the one. I'ma still always be a fan and listen to his music of course but everytime he says something he's the best or the GOAT or "shout out to Hov because it's him then me" I'ma laugh and then put on some Kendrick f*** outta here nigga.
i feel like he tried to take elements of all his albums & apply them to make this one. this might be the consummate drake album as a result. like this describes who he is, the good, bad, ugly, beautiful
that said the album art has to change
With some more listen if you trim the album into:
1. Champagne Poetry
2. Papi's Home
3. Love All (feat. JAY-Z) Have to add OG outro
4. Fair Trade (feat. Travis Scott)
5. Not Around OG Edited Version, No unnecessary long ass intro or stupid beat switch
6. No Friends In The Industry
7. Knife Talk (feat. 21 Savage & Project Pat)
8. 7AM on Bridle Path
9. Race My Mind
10. Fountain (feat. Tems)
11. Get Along Better Ty ain't even have a verse so I wouldn't put him as a verse.
12. You Only Love Twice (feat. Rick Ross & Lil Wayne)
12. IMY2 (feat. Kid Cudi)
13. The Remorse
... then you got a pretty great album. Definitely more concise. But still why every Drake album you got to edit so much to make into it's best form? Who helping him with this s*** they need to be fired.
This legit sounds like it dropped in 2013
Maybe 2016 actually for the album as a whole but it still sounds dated. Tunechi track sounds like it could have dropped in 2010. Weezy did body that tho.

I feel like this is some of the best production he's been on
I like the album once you stop being pretentious, listening to new music is such an enjoyable experience. Some of you are the children of white Twitter/YouTube hip hop critics and it shows can’t enjoy anything.
dont know what ur listening to this is a top four drake project easy
Very easily
Drake took no prisoners. That’s all i can say, he put the entire industry on notice. I absolutely love it. He rapping and rapping on this. Said eff that pop ish on this one
So Far Gone, Take Care, Nothing Was the Same, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, Views, More Life definitely better so idk what you talking about
More life 🤣
dudes will hate on the yebba song and claim that thats filler but act like pop smokes s*** on donda doesn’t exist, drake got a double standard going for him it’s always gonna be harder to satisfy you nerds
It's cos his production isn't as complex. Tbh for a lot of people that's what they're listening for. The lyrics then fall into place later.
