im the opposite, i think plastic surgery a bit more developed and interesting than fresh fruit. More post-punky, even tho its sitll very straight punk

People need to really check out Dramarama - Cinema Vertie
One of the most fun records of this era. It sounds really out of place in this decade cuz of its pop punk/power pop kinda of sensibilities, but its f***ing awesome.

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
Miles Davis - Ascenseur pour l'échafaud
Frank Sinatra - In the Wee Small Hours
The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Out
Bo Diddley - s/t
Charles Mingus - Mingus Ah Um
Marty Robbins - Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs
Clifford Brown and Max Roach - s/t
Bill Evans Trio - Everybody Digs Bill Evans
Cannonball Adderley - Somethin' Else
Thelonious Monk - Brilliant Corners

My wife got me into them. Anything Anything is one of her favorite songs. The album is good. We saw them at one of those 80s Weekend type gigs and they brought some good energy. They still like playing the clubs in LA.

Anything Anything is insanely good. The rest of the album is good to great, except the Velvet underground cover. Its worth hearing for sure

itd be way harder to do lists for since its so much less album focused, top 5 artists of 50s would prob be better. or compilations included or something
