dont remember the sound of that one. i dont hate it or anything though. just havent really got into any "cool" jazz type stuff at all, I love fusion era Miles. i like jazz fusion, free/avant-garde/spiritual jazz and some mingus type stuff I've heard. also been starting to get a little into the super early dixieland stuff

right now i dont like the really calm super relaxed sound

yeah i really dont like traditional pop or vocal jazz stuff at this point in time

yeah kind of blue always been my least favorite of the big three jazz records on RYM: sinner lady and A love supreme. A love supreme is peak jazz to me

And Black Saint is peak jazz to me

That and Karma

Alice Coltrane stuff is up there for me too. Ptah, the El Daoud and Journey are basically my work music atm

Journey is incredible, prob my fav jazz record.

i dont even like Nina Simone. and Tom Waits stuff in that style

nah we still got a few elvis fans, just check the best songs of every year thread. there arent many fans of 50s music here in general and i feel like a lot of the people who s*** on elvis just wouldnt like any music from that period and thats why they think hes the most overrated

beatles have a ton of fans on here

captain beefheart is the link between them tbh (chronogically at least)

its a go to for me if i don't know what to listen to, helps for great background music too
