It’s basketball. Easiest floor of entry to the sport (all you need is a ball and a hoop) but the threshold of entry to the NBA is astronomical it’s almost impossible sometimes to think that even the worst NBA players would absolutely decimate virtually anyone else. Not to mention the sport with the least amount of roster spots (aside from hockey maybe?)

Basketball. It's one thing to have skill, but you can't teach freakish height and length.

  • Dec 12, 2023

with soccer or basketball you can just go overseas and find work and develop your skills till you hit the nba or whatever the equivalent is in soccer

yeah i’ve competed in martial arts which is one thing but straight mma you need to have something off about you to train to hurt someone who’s been dedicating their life to harm you. i know pro ufc fighters and it’s just a different level can’t describe it

  • American football is an underrated answer because the likelihood you play into adulthood without a career altering or ending injury is pretty low. With that being said it’s basketball, no amount of practice can make up for the height you have to go against in the league. And even at that, you gotta be miraculously tall AND athletic. Tons of people 6’6 and up are an uncoordinated mess

  • Dec 12, 2023

Easily the NBA. No amount of skill or practice is gonna make you a genetic freak of nature

Basketball. Between the unique genetic makeup required, the high skill ceiling and the lack of slots available per roster on NBA teams, it's a long shot.

If we are talking about skill it’s baseball and it’s not even close

Hitting a baseball off a pro pitcher is the hardest thing to do in pro sports

Obviously basketball is different because you just need the height/athleticism combo before you even worry about the skill part

You can’t say basketballs the “hardest” and cite genetics

Like a 7 footer was just born and is likely to get in the league. What’s “hard” about being born? If you’re born tall and athletic then for them it’s not as “hard” as it would be for us.

But anyway it’s a stupid ass question

Do you have any idea how many tall and athletic people never became nba players?

Being 6’2+ doesn’t mean you go to the nba. It’s just means you met the minimum requirement

In 80 years of NBA basketball there’s been less than 4,500 people to play an NBA game. NFL has been around 100 years, 25,000 players. MLB? 150 years, 20,000 players.
