All the construction worker friends I have make great money tbh. But they work really hard (long hours in the outdoor elements) and feel they deserve the salary they make.

So when they even sense higher taxes they immediately jump to “they are taxing us to fund unemployment” and things along those lines.

Most people felt like trump wasn’t giving handouts and you had to “work hard, the American way” to make a living.

I’m guessing they think Biden is gonna come in and fund projects and programs targeting unemployed people instead of letting them work for a living. Which they always say “man I wish I can sit on my ass everyday and make xxx a week doing nothing”
