damn good s***
9 hour surgery and i couldnt walk for a month, but the best decision i ever made
This would be impossible actually
We haven’t decentralised medical boards
This is like practicing Health & Safety advisory in a nuclear environment without formal qualifications like a basic IOSH. Performing critical engineering without AP status. You wouldn’t be allowed to. Governments still regulate private entities
thats why we would need to have less regulations to practice surgery. you shouldn't have go through so many hoops. all of the regulations drive the prices up.
I still have a hard time understanding what are self taught doctors/surgeons.
How would that work
Im not too well versed in scoliosis but i dont see any reason why a experienced freelance surgery with experience performing the operation couldnt do the same thing as a government mandated surgeon
I still have a hard time understanding what are self taught doctors/surgeons.
How would that work

Oh okay I understand what you mean by regulations
I agree it’s silly these boards make money out of gatekeeping development
cause they dont have insurance

When you mean regulation do you speak of the safety measure or more so the insurance aspect of the process of approval for such work?

Fellas in 200k worth of debt going to medical school when there whole curriculum is in a 2 hour crash course youtube video

How would that work
I mean literally anybody could perform a surgery is the basis
Assuming the patient gives verbal and written consent to be operated on then whats the issue?
If you go to a surgeon with low reviews thats on you, same way if u go to a restaurant w a s***ty yelp score its on you

and we’re paying 100k for a foot amputation and to repair a lacerated kidney lol
its messed up man

How would that work
wym how would it work. say someone knows how to deal woth broken bones they open practice and do that without needing to go to years of schooling.
realistically would the average person rather go to
a mom and pop surgery and holistic medicine clinic
or a government ran, mandated and regulated hospital. prices would drop, quality would improve etc
the more i think about it the more a total abolishment/reform of hospitals sounds like a good idea
Bro what tf is a mom and pop surgery clinic?? Surgery takes years of learning and practice who wants surgery from ppl w less training ?
My cousin is a freelance surgeon and makes like 250k a year
