I distinctly remember butterfly dropping and people being like..yeah..wack 😂

I definitely seen a shift in people fw Kendrick after TPAB even outside of LA

    GKMC it was all love

TPAB people fell off w Kendrick

DAMN, particularly with Humble, people were back fw Kendrick heavy again

Thats why KTT saying DAMN wasnt great is crazy lol. The GP liked it more than any era other than GKMC

You’re right about that but a lot of the old fans just f***ed w the hits and not much else

His fanbase really changed up after 2015

When I think of internet rap I think of like lil tecca and s***. Not that he's bad but just he raps about meaningless catchy s***

Lol yeah I know what you mean. Back in the day when rappers had nothing to say they just rapped about rapping.

I even remember Vince saying in an interview that he wanted to spend time outside so he wouldn't have to be like those rappers. 😂

Vince is one of the best rappers of the 2010s imo

TPAB was for people who are into albums I guess. A lot of my friends who aren't really into music like that like some songs but dont like it like that

Tbh I think that the new "leaders of the newschool" aren't here yet. Or they might be here and we don't know it. They'll get established in the next couple years.

At one point it was supposed to be Kodak, Uzi, Juice and Tentacion maybe, but they died/fell off/ended up in jail. Kodak and Uzi might still bounce back tho.

    We're waiting.

Kodak can rap his ass off...

Him and youngboy wouldn’t of been a bad 1 and two going into 2020 right now youngboy is the only young nigga who I can think of that actually raps 16’s and has more than surface level bs who’s popping at the moment

I’m 20 and I remember growing up without the internet

    S*** was WOAT

Eh I’m basically the same age and I think s*** was different even in middle school everyone wasn’t glued to their phones like now..I have the most fun when I forget my phone is around tbh

    We had this discussion already

Rap changes over time. Kendrick Cole Drake etc fit the standards of their era, Big Nas and Pac fit the standards of their era and so on

There are good young rappers rn they just don't fit what you think rap "should" be

Wrong they fucccccing succ big succ
