Ofcourse it’s not a global thing for every f***ing country they colonized

But all over north, south and east africa homosexuality was normal in different cultures. Colonizers changed this with strict anti-gay laws over centuries. Those laws have had a lot of effect. You can’t deny that. Cultures in which being gay was normal turned homophobic BECAUSE of those anti-gay laws. And yes there were other cultures like in east africa which were already homophobic.

I’m not here to count how many cultures were affected by the anti-gay laws. But it’s enough to make me say that white colonizers are a huge part of homophobia in south asian and alot of african cultures.

do you have a link where i can read about homosexuality being seen as normal in parts of africa before? never knew that

I love black people but we’re mad homophobic

A black kid coming out to their parent and them being ”supportive” and ”accepting” baffles me. Maybe in Atlanta its different because its like the gay capital idk

But if you’re from NY you better not come out, your life is gonna be a living hell

I have fam in NYC and I'm just not seeing it tbh.

Strangely enough, the most homophobic Black people I've met were older Black women who were very churchy.

But everyone else? I'm just not seeing it. I've got 4 LGBT relatives in my family(2 Gay, 2 Lesbian) and they live around Black people in NYC, NJ, LA, and Houston and they never had issues with other Black people accepting them at all.

Niggas don't even trip over it at all from my experience. If you're ultra flamboyant with it, it might get some stares or gossip but I don't think that's exclusive to Black people.

The important thing, though, is that a lot of legislation that tried to supress gay rights came from White Conservatives, not Blacks. Blacks tend not to support politicians with actual power to supress LGBT rights.

    thats one person?

Which Black celebrity said this sort of thing at a public event?

Which Black organizations or political groups are going out of their way to supress the rights of the LGBT?

Which Black businessman has outright spoken against gay marriage similar to Dan Carthy of Chick-fil A?

Should be easy to do based on your claim.

    Nice deflection.

Pew Research only collects a tiny sample of the population and it's not 100% verifiable. Even if this is supposed to be the gospel, your own data is showing that there's not much of a gap.

But, before you deflect again, let me ask you again:

Which Black celebrities and politicians are speaking out against Gay marriage and LGBT rights?

Heck, I'll even help you out and throw you a name: Ben Carson.

    rollcall.com/2016/07/20/ben-carson-gay-marriage-abortion-are-evil

    Now name the others.

Name me the Black organizations or political groups that are actively trying to repress LGBT rights.

Name me the Black CEO's and business owners that have spoken out against LGBT rights.

If you can't give me names, then all we can do is go by anecdotes or tiny samples of research from Pew Research which don't mean s***.

naming famous people doesnt mean anything. Also its funny how you dismiss data when it goes against your own narrative

Where did you find this stat?

From what I seen from the sources, there's more violent crimes with anti-trans bias where's the victim is black.

But I haven't really found a source where it specifically points to most offenders being black, but it could easily be the case tho

Because being anti-LGBT only matters when it comes to the power to supress.

Family Guy making gay jokes doesn't mean s*** because they don't have that power for example.

If Blacks are the homophobic race like you're saying, then that should translate to power.

Powerful Black politicians, celebrities, and CEO's should be more likely to be anti-LGBT than their White counterparts which is why I'm asking you to name names.

I'm not even going against your narrative but I'm just asking you to name names.

I showed u actual data. you still choose to ignore it.

I didnt say "blacks are the homophobic race" i just said they have a higher proportion which is facts. nothing wrong with that tho. obviously you will see more "homophobic" whites because they have a higher population

Poverty breeds ignorance due to lack of education. This leads to homophobia. Black people have a much higher rate of poverty than white people thus are generally more ignorant to these social issues.

There is also a level of bitterness from some black people that gay people are given attention whilst they are rotting in poverty. Whilst that line of thought is certainly not helpful, I understand it.

how would "lack of education and poverty" cause homophobia.
