it was actually every artist literally saying they were heavily influenced by ye
People do give Kanye credit for a lot of s***. There's that narrative that he killed gangster rap when he outsold 50 Cent, but 50's album still sold like 700k copies. 50 was already seen as pop capitulation for singing his hooks. Outkast had started from gangster rap and transitioned out of it in the mainstream already by the time he debuted. He was in the studio when Common was laying down stuff that wasn't gangster rap with No ID. I'm not sure what foundation they think he built. It's the same with autotune. Him and Wayne both got that s*** from T-Pain. They both dropped projects defined by it in late 2008. Yet, a Kanye fan will tell you he fathered anybody who thought about using a melody.
Kanye was already using autotune b4 tpain and wayne

Plenty of people were using autotune prior to T-Pain going back to Cher's Believe. They used it for pitch correction. Not as a stylistic flourish unto itself.
Stans think that the artist they stan is the best thing to happen to music, they all say delusional things all the time
Because that time cover was just confirmation
Wayne pioneered today's sound his finger prints are everywhere. Ye is a great artist in his own right, but he isn't as influential as Wayne.
stans gonna stan but you're absolutely right. wayne is way more influential.
“Bro play that new Wayne”
Said no one ever.

sales hard desagree but ok @Big Kush #SMSAUDIO
Lollipop wasn’t indicative of anything except rappers getting on obvious pop songs without it looking strange. Kanye actually crafted the sound though.

All non-carter series Wayne albums always sell less than the Carter ones , they are side albums

Cash money d*** riders be on some different s***. Quit chocking on Wayne and Drake d***. They do numbers but they are not comparable to Kanye.

Correct, Wayne rebuilt the game to his liking, and pretty much disappeared he doesn't need the credit limelight or game. He built up his protege to take on the mantle and just drops in from time to time.
