love the remix more but this is an amazing fusion of jazz chords with hard ass drums
Drake asked 40 for a Mobb Deep type beat for Tuscan Leather if I remember correctly
i honestly can’t listen to old school hip hop anymore without feeling cringe
don’t shoot me
Hip hop rn is more cringe than ever. Every artist forces some type of corny aesthetic to get people listening
Not familiar with that much older rap, mostly just outkast but every mobb deep song ive heard sounds ultra modern. Flow, beats etc
Is all 90s rap like this or just them
!https://youtu.be/-KpUPo3dKIINo offense but you gotta train your ear and develop a deeper more accurate understanding of hip hop and its history
Seen some delusional/ignorant takes from you before
Q-Tip and Mobb have a good connect for a reason. Havoc and Tip are goat producers and very influential.
Anyway yeah Mobb Deep are one of the GOATs and their first 2 albums are 10/10 but there are some other 90s rap albums with a similar atmosphere
love the remix more but this is an amazing fusion of jazz chords with hard ass drums
Yes! This is Q-Tip production too.
2 other great albums with dope beats from the same year too
Bizarre Ride and Labcab both 10/10. Love the difference in tone, Bizarre is goofy but charming af and Labcab hits with those more mature/relationship vibes.
This album
Illmatic, Midnight Marauders are essential if u already fw Mobb Deep but Cuban Linx especially, one of my fav albums ever
No offense but you gotta train your ear and develop a deeper more accurate understanding of hip hop and its history

I’m extremely knowledgeable of hip hop
There’s nothing magical about focusing on 90s rap vs 2010 to 2020s rap like in my case
The genre literally saved my life, I spent tens of thousands of my life listening to it
i honestly can’t listen to old school hip hop anymore without feeling cringe
don’t shoot me
It’s insane to me the number of people who aren’t even hip hop fans we have on a website dedicated primarily to hip hop
Mobb was dat ahead of its time, Havoc had some crazy beats man.. Griselda is highly inspired by Mobb Deep. Check the song on hwh8 Hell on earth part 2 and also check the Flee Lord tape that Hav produced, In The Name Of Prodigy
i honestly can’t listen to old school hip hop anymore without feeling cringe
don’t shoot me
You don't like rap. It's okay
