He dominated the 2000s and definitely made some good s*** in the years later but then it seemed to slow down. Usually he’s in the convo of goat producers with Pharrell and ye, and personally I think he’s above them both in skill. But Pharrell still produces hits to this day, and ye does a little bit of everything these days (producing lil nas x tracks, writing trav verses, mentoring carti to be the new leader). They have a clear connection with the next gen of rap, and timbo should be right there too but I don’t feel like his presence is there. Last rap credit I recall of his was a ski mask throwaway track. Is he intentionally not working with new ppl or what?

Tim did this on Rozay’s new album
Arguably the best song on the album

if i didn't know any better, i would assume this was another producer tbh
Untouchable by Pusha proves that he still got it
This and that rozay beat are hard but they just prove my point. All the production credits I can think of Timbo having somewhat recently are all with ppl that are already established legends, I don’t see him sending s*** to trippie or Larry June
I need late 90s/early 2000s Timbaland back he had a thing for making experimental yet catchy s*** that nobody can pull off today

Why would he lol I wouldn’t wanna waste my hard earned time and money by giving my product to niggas who wouldn’t know what to properly do with it

Find the worth…that’s what his contemporaries did and that’s why they’re still relevant in hip hop today

Dw imma pull a Tyler and steal his sauce to a t
was just talkin about this exact thing with my sister a few minutes ago
need him to find a new protege to work with and have his beats dominating the charts again

He got his sound from someone else
People just stopped caring about him in the mainstream. Don’t want to say he fell off quality wise because that’s a lie he’s still got it. To be fair Pharrell did too and got his second mainstream wind because of Tyler
EDIT: I elaborated what I meant on the next page and worded this terribly. Before you reply reactionary read that first

As if Timbaland isn’t a relevant name in hip hop clown ass take
I don't think he's washed but his style isn't what many artists are looking for so naturally he's not getting as many placements

U know wtf I mean, compared to ye and Pharrell. I literally called him better than both of them in op, don’t act like I’m clowning him. He’s got no touch on todays hip hop tho

Pretty much the answer I’m getting all over, but with the resurgence of rnb that makes no goddamn sense
