Actin out and getting hooked on d**** as a child star aren’t quite the kind of life experiences I’m speaking of

People don’t even really respect that s*** as adults. It’s seen, especially for a pretty boy white kid like some privileged white kid s*** and not something you can take a person seriously for.

OP is talking about Justin hinself not how audiences feel about him so I don't think your point matters.

I think he was just a mid level talented person who was hyped far past his actual level of talent

The internet struck for the first time and a sensation that didn’t really deserve the level of praise he got came into supe om.

He’s the Lonzo Ball of the R&B game

Never was all he was cracked up to be but still pretty decent

  • He had his metronome on which could play a part

Aight comparing him to Lonzo is disrespectful.

How his audience feels about him is a direct result of who he is and what kind of content he’s able to put out.

    The two are intrinsically connected..

He didn’t go to the next level because he’s not an artist who can connect with the type of audience he caters to beyond radio singles.

He isn’t that kinda of artist so the audience can’t connect with it heavily which is why he’s stayed only relevant in terms of radio singles rather than as an artist people really respect and buy into ie the weekend.

Why he gotta be innovative? He knows his lane and does it well

relative to the expectations, he’s lonzo

The way in which they were exalted before really proving their worth and pretty much became stagnated rather than ascending to their potential is what I mean.

Not that he’s just a mediocre bust like Ball... his career is far superior to that of Ball for sure

a lot of people can play instruments and sing at young ages

takes much more than that to actually create original music

  • Dec 14, 2020

Tbh the pressure really started breaking him down the past few years.

    Both

    You can be both

    Look at Kanye

He’s f***in pop and still (well use to) makes music for the sake of art

Bieber’s singles are marketed for bubble gum suburbia

But he wants his albums to be appreciated by a totally different demographic

If you make suburbia hits, make your album for that crowd because they won’t appreciate an album curated to a more serious audience’s taste

If you want your album to be taken seriously, make your singles such that a serious crowd can appreciate those as well as the actual content of your project.

Beiber tries to accomplish too many different things and only accomplishes billboard success as a result

    Okay. that was my point.

It seemed like you were saying they were mutually exclusive concepts at first.

He went from journals to purpose. That's great progess. The problem is that he didn't progress as his fans got older. He's trying to cater to the same age his fans grew up with. Bruh them niggas are in their mid to late 20s!

You can't hate on a nigga until he starts making bad music. He peeked with purpose and I'm fine with that who cares he rich and married. He lost his pop swag. That big lipped sexy mama billie eilish turnt up! She's the future...I guess! I don't see it but the music industry does.

It’s almost as if being talented at singing and being a creative artist are totally different things or something lol

Creativity is something inherently different from being able to make a cover of a song. While were at the subject: Covers should be made illegal. It’s detrimental to the music industry.
