So do you think that asians outside of fields they dominate don't benefit from AA?

i honestly dont rly care because i think AA is stupid in the first place

there was a time when it made sense because the average white person was like actually racist, but now it doesnt rly do anything particularly useful

    it was a panacea

Bro, youā€™re so wrong. Itā€™s not even funny. Asians whether American born or overseas definitely donā€™t face discrimination when competing against black people. There are so many stats that can be pulled up to make you look silly šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£. Another clueless idiot.

oh im sure if a black person and an asian with equal credentials are being considered for an important job, in america, in 2023, the asian dude is getting picked every time, because theres definitely no large scale social movement that promotes hiring black people currently happening

This is a f***ing a cop out. If racism is not a thing anymore then how come when the uni of chicago sent out 83k resumes to employers with identical qualifications but half being white names and the other being ethnics names; why were the ethnic names 10 percent less likely to be called back

Riddle me this Einstein. What were the black college graduate numbers before and after affirmative action?

Produce those numbers then stfu forever

if youre so passionate about these numbers why dont you post them?

most black people go to HBCUs so i dont even see how this could be a good point. most state schools are like 5% black even with AA

Youā€™re such an idiot. This is exactly why black people talk about racism all the time because people like you would be the absolute destruction of black people and the progress in this country. Republicans will try to reverse the civil rights act and people like you will be like ā€œat least it isnā€™t slavery hurr durrā€

Do you think HBCUs have the capacity to handle all black college students? You donā€™t realize that HBCUs have gotten less funding than pretty much every other college since inception? šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ like wtf are you talking about. You canā€™t be uninformed and have an opinion.

In 2021 black students at hbcus made up 9 percent of the black student population in the US.

i actually am a black person who went to a white school

    it was literally horrible

i transferred to an hbcu and life was like 100x better

i dont think this idea of funneling black people into traditionally white spaces is the best approach. we should focus on strengthening our resources instead of trying to gain acceptance from white dominated entities

yea so you say this and your interpretation is "HBCUs have poor funding, so we should go to other schools" instead of "We should fund HBCUs more"

    Yes.

We see too many instances of cooperation. And just because people may feel the need to be competitive to succeed doesn't make it some inherent trait to me

Itā€™s not an inherent trait of people themselves obviously but capitalism is by definition coercive on an environmental level macronomically

This doesnā€™t rule out what you say in a social vacuum but on an overt level people are generally forced to act per environmental coercion.

Are you f***ing dumb? I didnā€™t have to be alive during the civil rights era to acknowledge the reality of what happened. People like you simply ignore REALITY. Historical record says the civil rights movement resulted in the civil rights act which resulted in a direct increase in Asian immigration as well as their rights not being infringed upon based on their race/ethnicity. The civil rights act is for every race and ethnicity. What did the Asian community do for the civil rights act to get put into place? The answer is nothing hence why they are model minorities. This is historical record and facts. Stop playing games and kick rocks.

People gonna keep playing dumb til they start talking about revoking the civil rights act on our assess too

Itā€™s not really a secret this is the overt goal of a lot of modern quasi-libertarians
That said I simply donā€™t think this is a popular policy w the average person. Policy specific aside, the mere phrase ā€œrepealing the civil rights actā€ sounds like political suicide

Yeah I wasnā€™t saying that would actually happen, then again a lot of questionable s*** has been going on lately.
