The only thing that sucks about the game is the enemy design

Theyre basically trash can plushies with appendages that get a bit modified as time goes on, some of the bosses are cool tho. N of course the other androids, but im talking about the main bulk of what you fight.
The other Niers have way cooler & varied enemies.
They fit the story but still. Just lil cute trash cans you push around, for the most part. At least the actual gameplay mechanics are good tho.

Goat thread, watching op have this realization in real time
Reminds me of the Sekiro thread where OP couldn't get into Sekiro then changed his mind later

tbh I don't remember the standard enemies from Replicant being that much different or an improvement from Automata either. Majority of the enemies were shade then shade with axe/sword just like Automata. I guess there was more variety tho with the robots in the factory and wolves in the desert tho.
Think combat was more enjoyable in Automata since movement felt better, animations were just more flashy in general and you have chip customisation even if it was pretty barebones; the shootem up and hacking sections also helped to prevent things getting too stale. Honestly the worst thing about the combat in Automata was that everything died too quick even on hard. On the other hand fighting enemies on Hard in Replicant was just annoying since everything is a sponge in the 2nd half of the game

Im probably just not a fan of the "cute" small robot aesthetic that most of the reg enemies have. But yeah I prefer the enemy design in Nier 2010/Replicant.
I agree tho the combat is fin, & i think the mechanics with the reg enemies are cool too like when they stacking on each other etc. Just dont find the aesthetic very interesting nor threatening.

I think that's the whole point, when I started first I was like 'so I will spend my time killing handicapped robots that can't even run' but then I overestimated them and found myself spamming the dodge action lol

Yeah it fits the barrative & overall point of the game, i just dont like them
Or moreso theyre not interesting to me
But yeah the gameplay aspect revolving them is still fun tho

This is wonderful to see Every ending is a new beginning in this game.

89% of quests finished I'm putting an end to this incredible moment in gaming
may this thread serve as an example for new players that are having second thoughts with this game
this might be a weird question but has someone felt like really weird or creeped out when achieveing some of these endings? made me feel like I did something really really bad like a screamer would pop out anytime
